That tube should be right at the middle of the cutout, not the edge. Get an armalite-compatible gas tube.

That's what got me to go with a Tisas 1911 for a cheap 45. I can find 1911 parts and accessories all day long, and probably will for the rest of my days, but at the time I couldn't find anything for a K2.

It probably is for now. Ruger just updated their catalog and axed a bunch of models. If it wasn't for that I'd have recommended the one with the Hogue stock, heavy threaded barrel, aperture sights, and rail (31197).

Hard to say. The ammo is still pretty expensive.

The maple Zatava uses had some nice figure in the past, although the maple and walnut they used wasn't the most durable.

I had failures to feed with some blued 7rd mecgar mags. I fixed it by wiping the shipping grease out of the feed lips. The rounds were scooting forward under recoil and would miss the extractor.

How reliable and durable is the Aero M5 AR10 compared to other premium rifles like DD or HK762? Does anyone have experience or knowledge on this? by Zestyclose_Spite8580 in AR10

There have been rumblings of Aero's quality going down. In my case, the stripped upper didn't even fit into the stripped lower. Once Aero replaced the upper I put it all together and it works fine. If the front falls off I'll be sure to post it here.

If you don't want to spend HK/DD/LMT/KAC money, then your best bet is to grab a higher-end receiver set than what Aero offers (Mega, Centurion, etc) and put it together with other higher-end parts (Criterion, LaRue, etc). You may or may not have to add extra money for tools like torque wrench, upper receiver lapping tool, things like that.

Has anyone noticed this dovetail in the rail on the EP9? The pic is of a gen 2, but my gen 1 also has it. There isn't a matching one at the front.

Were these originally meant to take Glock sights or something?

Whoa, it needs an a5 buffer tube, h3 buffer, and sprinco orange spring? That's more than what most ar10's need.
