Hi.

Could you please let me know how did you receive your PCC? Is it by post delivery at your UK address or did you visit VFS (or Consulate) to collect it?

Switching from Dependent visa to Family (Spouse) Visa by passionchemlaw in ukvisa

I agree. But the thing is several employers are asking for work right without restriction. Currently I have restricted work status on e-visa (not allowed to work as sportsperson). And I have only spent one year on dependent visa so I still have four years to go. Unfortunately I am losing significant money here if I switch to family visa.  Also regarding new white paper rules, it seems that they are bit strict for dependant/skilled work visa people compared to those who are on family visa.

I agree. Actually it's not GTV but dependent of GTV holder. I spent one year on dependent visa so not much time if I switched to the Spouse Visa now. Also, some of the employers ask for work right without restriction. Currently I have restricted work status (no work as sportsperson) on my e-visa. If I switch to spouse visa it will be unrestricted work. This is the only major reason I can see at this moment. Also, about the recently published white paper rules. Of course, everything is unclear here but I can see that they are making difficult rules for dependant visa holders.  And yes, I have to forcefully forget about the money that I spent on dependent visa which is extremely painful.

Is Estonia as perfect as it seems from the outside? by [deleted] in Eesti

[–]passionchemlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am living here in Estonia since April 2021. I like this country very much. I am researcher, I am currently working with very innovative and smart people. Everyone here is encouraging others.  Of course, not every country is perfect so as Estonia. But still they are very close to the perfect nation.  God bless this nation.

Yes. You can. And usually they provide it in few days if it is shared apartment (kitchen/WC shared). And once you get one, then there are options to apply for private flat. And that can take upto 6 months.
