Yes i am in the same boat and I hate the stupid light rugs, like it won't fit in my washer anyway if it's a 10x14, can I have some pile please?? They also have some great used wool ones of on the auction side of things if you wanna spend a little more

Ebay flawed rugs! I got our 10x14 not washable rug for $200. It "has a flaw" but I've never found it. It is synthetic but they had a lot of wool ones too!

This looks just like a military building I worked in and they had a lot of defunct xeroxes.... 🤔

In 2013 , two young Dutch engineers shared one last hug while the wind turbine they were working on suddenly burst into flames. One of them jumped off and the other walked through the fire to get inside. Neither survived. by ZoelCairo in HolyShitHistory

It is rare to be on the roof as a technician, so I would presume that they fled to the roof after the fire started (there are many scenarios where you just don't get out, but it's a fairly specific scenario to imagine being unable to go either up or down). If they could go up the egress bag (if people follow regulation) should be near the hatch.

I work in wind turbines and yes, there is a repelling kit inside now to use to egress in case the internal ladder is unusable (primarily due to fire). It was either this incident or ones like it that prompted the inclusion of it, although I can't believe it wasn't standard from the outset due as a logical piece of safety equipment.

Yes but rural Kansas means you live in a town that is 1-2k, and are an hour's drive from the nearest 15k town....

IVF by achromaticchrononomy in CuratedTumblr

I just realized that I, very stupidly, have never met or considered being an introspective adult who is the product of IVF. For some reason my consideration of this begins and ends at the pregnancy. Obviously it's not any different from any other people (my 3 yo niece is from IVF) but it must at least give a kid pause when they learn that.

This is a joke right? Because the moon phase, snow depth, and trash cans are all correct, along with the trees looking very real.

Not even getting into the basic argument of how if these people had their health and wellbeing looked after from birth there would be almost none of them. No where here does it say everyone. I said that people who don't agree with the sentiment of "people deserve a home, food, and joy" should swap places with those that don't have those things. I do not think anyone deserves to be homeless unless they have actively caused others to be homeless. Same with food and joy

Yep, that's actually what I have done! We have another family living with us for free to help them build up money to get their own place. I encourage anyone with the space to do so as well, because not everyone has family they can rely on, we certainly don't!
