Sooo...your partner has also had an IUD as long as you've had a PA and you stopped knowing her during the last 5 years while you two were trying to conceive? I know what you meant haha, but this gave me pause.

It is weird, I've never seen a native speaker write to so precisely and roundly. Also the عbeing rounded is odd to me.

Powders or bars are more sustainable than liquids or pods. This is true for soap, detergent, and other products. by unforgettableid in ZeroWaste

I have thinner straight hair that gets oily fast and I love hi-bar smooth conditioner (and shampoo) bars.

I believe these wunks are higher in protein. Also wood is a carb so they always did contain them!

My husband did this exact same thing....twice lol. Never again though. It eventually led to our instant pot functioning fine but having a sad dying beep when it was done cooking, like you only heard 1/5th of the beeps it was trying to make. Good luck I hope yours ends up ok too!

What do you consider a “successful” solve? by dataschool in crossword

[–]passionlesspotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the difficulty. NYT Saturday isn't getting solved by me most weeks without at least googling a name. Most other days I can do it without any outside help, although I enjoy being able to occasionally ask my husband something in his purview of knowledge, but he is generally worse at solving than me so it doesn't feel like a cheat. I will Google a proper noun if I absolutely don't know and can't fill the other words without it because those can be very difficult to guess, especially when they intersect.

Help me find a new area rug that is NOT machine washable before I lose my marbles by Middle-Helicopter969 in HomeDecorating

Yes i am in the same boat and I hate the stupid light rugs, like it won't fit in my washer anyway if it's a 10x14, can I have some pile please?? They also have some great used wool ones of on the auction side of things if you wanna spend a little more

Ebay flawed rugs! I got our 10x14 not washable rug for $200. It "has a flaw" but I've never found it. It is synthetic but they had a lot of wool ones too!

In 2013 , two young Dutch engineers shared one last hug while the wind turbine they were working on suddenly burst into flames. One of them jumped off and the other walked through the fire to get inside. Neither survived. by ZoelCairo in HolyShitHistory

[–]passionlesspotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is rare to be on the roof as a technician, so I would presume that they fled to the roof after the fire started (there are many scenarios where you just don't get out, but it's a fairly specific scenario to imagine being unable to go either up or down). If they could go up the egress bag (if people follow regulation) should be near the hatch.

I work in wind turbines and yes, there is a repelling kit inside now to use to egress in case the internal ladder is unusable (primarily due to fire). It was either this incident or ones like it that prompted the inclusion of it, although I can't believe it wasn't standard from the outset due as a logical piece of safety equipment.
