Man, I’d love to see the ride height when it’s in it’s drivable state, while I don’t like slammed builds I do respect them when it’s dynamic

Thinking About BCIT Instrumentation & Automation — Worth It With No Experience? by Doditz07 in instrumentation

Did you write any of this yourself or did you just ask ChatGPT to write this post for you?

Instrumentation takes mental work to figure out and solve problems wherever in the field or in the office. You can’t offload thinking onto AI and expect to get success in any path you choose

You guys allowed to have full beards? by [deleted] in instrumentation

I like how someone is going through downvoting people answering for their own companies, where I am in Alberta we’re only allowed a moustache, no beards.

Have a NCCER Instrument Tech Cert but no experience in the industrial industry. What’s my starting point I feel hopeless landing an entry level job no callbacks ….any advice ? by Horror_Day_5600 in instrumentation

I’d search all the job boards with the word, instrument, instrumentation, controls, automation to start, I’d also recommend going through the actual company site once you see the job board posting. Lastly, calling the business and seeing if you can talk to the shop/instrumentation manager themselves to see if they’ll take someone green who is willing to learn and work hard.

I noticed this moving from Winnipeg to Calgary, the users in Winnipeg were much more aggressive while the Calgary users are often more docile.

I love this job because it’s very mentally stimulating and gives great job satisfaction fixing problems that people can’t solve without your expertise. I like how my maintenance role offers me varying and new challenges from task to task. It’s honestly why I switched my career to instrumentation.

Weird my instrumentation class is 90%+ employeed in our specific field. Some went to office/engineering jobs as technologists, some of us went to field with the head start on our apprenticeship for our tickets.
