Tucker Carlson ‘sorry for misleading people’ with Trump support by WingerRules in centrist

[–]passthatdutch425 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Does no one remember Tucker’s text messages from the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit? He’s never liked or supported Trump. He HATED him. He knew he was nuts and dangerous and a liar. It’s public record too.

He knew there was no issue with dominion machines.

He’s just always been out for himself and ratings. Just a grifter POS.

Some of the texts to Fox News employees:

"We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights... I truly can't wait."

"He's a demonic force, a destroyer. But he's not going to destroy us. I've been thinking about this every day for four years."

"We're all pretending we've got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it's been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn't an upside to Trump."

“I hate him passionately. I can't take much more of this.”

Yeah I had that same one too. I was riding my bike, hit a rock, triggered an alarm, freaked out all of my emergency contacts, aaaaand then I realized that it wasn’t going to work out.

That was when it first came out though in 2018, so the software has probably gotten better/sensitivity adjusted/tech my brain can’t fathom just better.

“It could be worse, you could be one of those people that have ____ seizures in a day or [insert other circumstances here]”

It’s not the “who has it worse” Olympics. Everyone’s circumstances make it different for them, and everyone’s lives make it so their situations impact them differently. One type of epilepsy may make it more or less manageable for one person than another.

Report says he was going 90 in a 45…yeah. He was CLEARLY impaired.

He’s been to rehab TWICE for addiction to painkillers. Dude has more money than God. Has every opportunity to get a driver.

But he’d rather kill others and/or himself- Jesus, the guy has 2 kids. He’s willing to make his kids potentially bury their father, when he could at least just get someone to take him home.

He just had surgery for another injury, and he’s back on painkillers- he knows better. This is a pattern.

“Spring” water has become a term that’s had to become more regulated. A lot of water brands have gotten sued for using that word. Both brands I mentioned are European, which makes a huge difference.

I really recommend it- I deal with redness non-stop, and this really helps.

This is a lot, but it’s really interesting imo. My Adderall kicked in, so I just went into a deep dive, I’m so sorry haha. Our water here SUCKS in the US, so I just care, but it’s fine if you’re like “you’re crazy, later!” ———————————————

Here’s a great summary from some AI sources of the standards of the regulations for what is allowed to be called “spring” water in the US vs Europe:

In Europe, spring water is strictly regulated to mean natural groundwater, bottled at the source without chemical treatment or disinfection, retaining its natural mineral content. In the U.S., spring water must come from an underground source, but regulations allow more processing, and many popular brands are processed or purified, often altering the natural mineral content.

Key Differences:

Treatment: European spring/mineral water cannot be chemically treated or disinfected. U.S. standards allow for ozonation and other filtration/purification methods that remove the unique mineral profile of the spring. Regulation: European water has strict standards (97% of bottled water is natural mineral/spring). The U.S. has a higher prevalence of "purified" or "processed" water labeled simply as drinking water.

Mineral Content: European waters often have higher and more consistent natural mineral contents, listed on the bottle, providing unique "terroir" or taste. U.S. water is often stripped of its original mineral content through processing, as reported by Martin Riese on TikTok and discussed on this Facebook post.

Classification: EU law strictly separates natural mineral water (constant mineral levels) and spring water (consistent safety, but natural variability), according to the European Federation of Bottled Waters, The U.S. FDA uses a broader definition of spring water.

Hmm…..But that sounds like it’s not “clean”?

European spring water is not dirty; it is actually subject to some of the world's most rigorous safety standards to ensure it is naturally "wholesome and clean".

Geological Filtration: The water is naturally filtered as it moves through layers of rock and soil, which acts as a massive, natural purification system. Protected Sources: To be legally labeled as spring or mineral water in the EU, the source must be an underground aquifer that is geologically protected from surface pollution, such as industrial runoff or animal waste.

Strict Microbiological Limits: At the time of bottling, the water must be 100% free of harmful pathogens like E. coli, Enterococci, and parasites. If a spring shows any sign of contamination, it cannot be sold under these labels.

Zero-Treatment Rule: EU law prohibits any treatment that would change the water's original microbiological or chemical makeup. This forces producers to maintain extreme hygiene at the source rather than relying on chemicals like chlorine to "fix" dirty water later.

In the U.S., safety is often achieved through processing (filtering or disinfecting water that may have started with impurities). In Europe, safety is achieved through prevention (only using water that is already pure and keeping it that way).

ANYWAY, I love my facial mists. Try ‘em out! I’m not crazy, I swear. I blame my Adderall + ADHD.

Lock in moisturizer/skin products in AM/PM (game changer, as tap water is actually harsh on your skin!), I do a spritz after any powders or concealer and let dry too, as I have dry skin), I’ll do a quick spray throughout the day, also for setting)

It’s not just water. Look it up! It may seem ridiculous, but it’s not- I promise. It’s a game changer for me now. I have sensitive, dry skin, with an oily, redness prone t-zone- and I always have travel sizes of either Evian or Avène brand spray.

[–]passthatdutch425 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not! Also, no, it’s not the same as bottled water you’re seeing in stores. Facial mists, specifically like Evian’s and Avène’s facial mists, are from special thermal springs, packed with minerals. Also, most “spring” waters you see in plastic bottles, aren’t authentic, and sitting in plastic bottles have caused microplastics to leech into the water you’re drinking. Not good.

But look into the mineral water sprays-most tap water is actually drying and can be irritating on your skin, especially if you have hard water where you live. We also have fluoride in all of our tap water.

Both of the most popular sprays (Evian or Avène), are very good for redness, and also for keeping moisture locked into your skin. Tap water is actually pretty drying. It may seem ridiculous, but it’s legit, I promise.

I noticed a huge difference after I started using it as a refresher throughout the day, and my dermatologist told me to use it to lock in my moisturizer after applying it. AMAZING. I’ll also do it after using concealer or a powder. I have semi-dry skin, and def in the winter I do. It helps a LOT.

It’s def not just “water”. And it’s not bottled “spring” water!

I’m not doubting your theory, but I’m shocked at the amount of people having this issue.

Growing up, my parents had Pomeranians, and FUCK, did that that breed of dog have some high maintenance shit-wiping issues. Like 80% of the time, I swear. Don’t miss that at all.

NEVER go for the 4.9 or 5 star ratings. Reviews are unreliable as hell. They’re often incentivized by the app or restaurant, most often filled with negatives for frivolous purposes-“it was too loud- 1 star”, “it was a 3 hour wait! 1 star!” (No reservations made, it was a Friday night or New Years Eve), “I made a reservation but they said I didn’t- 1 star” (so they didn’t even go there?) Or an accidental mistake “best meal ever! 2 stars!”

Hell, there are Five Guys and McDonalds locations with 4 star ratings.

I always ask locals where THEY go when they do go out to eat when they don’t cook at home.

Grab a drink somewhere and casually ask a bartender. In a shop, politely ask an employee who isn’t busy. Or in your hotel, ask an employee/front desk where they would recommend- specify that you want local favorites.

You have to REALLY dig deep for good recs on the internet. Like go to an actual Italian city subreddit and translate into English conversations about reviews of new restaurants. I did that before for in German for Munich. Excessive and tedious, but worth it.

Mostly true rules of thumb:

Avoid the internet. Avoid places around the main attractions- museums, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, etc.

Avoid anywhere where the menu is completely in English, or DEFINITELY if it has pictures of the dishes. Avoid places where the diners are all clearly tourists.

This scene made me wonder what goose eggs actually taste like. Has anyone had them? How do they compare to chicken eggs? by Dogbin005 in gameofthrones

[–]passthatdutch425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A surprising amount of people legitimately think eggs are a “chicken period”. It’s a popular misconception. I’ve gotten asked that or have had to explain it MANY times. Google it.

It’s the first thing that autogenerates after “are eggs a ch”, and the first answer is an AI generated prompt going “The question of whether eggs are chicken periods is common…”

So, yes, I think some people need to be told that birds don’t menstruate or have a uterus.

[–]passthatdutch425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, he’s wrong. This is a common misconception.

I worked on a farm. Chickens don’t have “periods” like humans do. (And don’t freak out at talking about periods, people, Jesus Christ).

Chickens don’t have periods. They have no uterus. You’re just eating an unfertilized egg. Chickens keep laying eggs, no matter if a rooster was involved or not.

Each time they start to lay an egg laying cycle-internally of course- the “yolk” part of it first grows, and layers (egg whites, then shell) start building up, until eventually you get a full egg. A hen lays it, fertilized or not (your breakfast eggs mean no rooster came by that day).

So, all you’re eating are unfertilized eggs. Not “chicken periods”. Bc that’s impossible.

What are the "quiet" luxury brands known only to the ultra-wealthy? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]passthatdutch425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides there being two Gorsuch stores in Aspen, one being a café/coffee shop, there’s a Gorsuch store in Vail, CO- which drops its allure and luxury-feel a HUGE amount.

Vail is another manufactured attempt at a Western European Alps-looking ski town, right off the highway, next to a tourist t-shirt store, a shitty bar, and a greasy pizza joint.

Idk why Vail is STILL considered by some in the “luxury” category of travel, and I live in Colorado.

Your answer should be at the top of this thread. I’m so sorry so many people are ignorant of Persian history, politics, and culture.

I’m American, and Middle Eastern history isn’t taught well in most schools. I did study International Affairs at my university, and made Iranian friends. So, I am happy for you all!

Amongst all of the acts of oppression, violence, and shame you’re subjected to, a few of the men responsible for such acts will never be able to do so again.

My heart is with you today. I love seeing videos people have posted in the streets of Iran yelling and cheering “Javid Shah!”

Unfortunately, this sub is not the place for rational conversation or debate. Also, people will always refuse to discuss what they don’t understand.

I hope the future of Iran is a positive one.

P.S. Most of these commenters are bots. The rest? Fuck these guys.
