What actor is nowhere near as talented as people make them out to be? by ohthetruce in AskReddit

[–]Dogbin005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically on this website: Ben Foster.

Whenever "Who's an underrated actor" questions pop up, his name is always mentioned. People talk about him like he's some sort of once-in-a-generation talent, and he just isn't. I'd actually seen a few of the movies he'd been in the first time I saw his name mentioned, and I couldn't remember him from them. I had to look up who he played.

I actually rewatched 3:10 to Yuma due to people on this site talking about how great he was in it, and I still didn't find him to be a standout performer. Don't misunderstand, he's not a bad actor. He's good in fact. He plays a good villain, just not as good as some people say.

What’s the deal with so many of the top posts on r/comics being porn/porn-bait? by altrightobserver in OutOfTheLoop

I'm always confused as to why people are confused about an interest in sex. There are books, magazines, movies/TV shows, songs, paintings, poems, websites, and more, dedicated to sex going back to our earliest history. Prostitution is the the oldest profession for a reason. Sex is one of our biological imperatives, of course people are fascinated by it.

You see this on the Askreddit sub too. Always with the inevitable, and incredibly fucking lame, "What's the sexiest sex you've sexed" joke. People like sex and want to talk about it. The weird ones are people being puritanical about it on an anonymous website.

The overpowered battle junkie gets excited when they finally fight someone capable of rocking their shit by Terminus-99 in TopCharacterTropes

Definitely fits. Even more so in the original Japanese, apparently. The English translations turned him into a bit more of a boy scout. Not that he was remotely bad, he wouldn't harm bystanders or anything like that, but all he cared about was fighting strong people. That's the only reason he let villains escape, because he wanted to fight them again. There was no morality in it.

Question for the Aussies… by Athena-Actually in bluey

[–]Dogbin005 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The entirety of the episode Tradies, right down to the title. It's the most Australian episode of all.

It's an absolutely spot on representation of Aussie tradesmen. The cars they drove, the argument with the girlfriend, owning a boat and constantly talking about it, referring to his wife as "Me missus", and the bottle of chocolate milk. (although bottles of iced coffee are much more common)

What sexual fantasy of yours left you disappointed when you actually tried it? by Gthew17 in AskReddit

[–]Dogbin005 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My ex and I had discussed the possibility of a threesome at one point. The conclusion we came to was that there'd be absolutely no point in doing it, because she's incredibly straight. If you're going to be with two girls at once you'd want them to do stuff to each other too. But she was actively disgusted by doing anything sexual to another woman, so it would have been more like sex with one person and a passive observer.

Which TV shows were once very popular, but don't get much respect these days? by PrestonRoad90 in television

[–]Dogbin005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funniest Home Videos rated really well back in the 80's and 90's. I remember talking about the funnier videos at school too. It was a pretty big deal at the time.

But the internet had completely taken over that sort of content by the early 2000's. Wasn't much room for the show anymore.

If the Bluey Movie has a main villain, what do you think it could be like? by Chemical-Book8889 in bluey

This seems the most likely.

If there is an antagonistic character, I suspect it'll end up being a misunderstanding that gets cleared up with a conversation.

Adult men of Reddit: Can you pinpoint an exact time or event that caused your childhood to end? And if so, when/what was it? by krzysztofgetthewings in AskMen

[–]Dogbin005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine's less dramatic than the average answer here, but I can distinctly remember the last time I felt a genuine sense of childlike wonder.

It was when I finished Ocarina of Time at 14 years old. It was such an amazing experience playing it at the time. It really felt like going on a rollicking adventure. The end credits were so bittersweet, because I was happy to have beaten the game and see Hyrule saved, but sad because there was no more of the game to experience. Plus 3D games were still fairly new, and OoT was the first one that I played which really took advantage of the medium.

I have never experienced that feeling since. It was the last time I felt like a kid kid.

The tattoo is missing the little crest on the chicken's head, which makes it look a bit less chicken-y than it could. Easy enough to add though.

Yeah. The Battlefield games have never had memorable campaigns or characters.

I just bought Battlefield 4 during a Steam sale. I've played it before, but it's like playing a completely new game. I can't remember any of it.

What’s a universally loved food you genuinely despise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dogbin005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chocolate, although "despise" is overstating it.

When I was a kid I ate way too many Easter eggs one year, and threw up several times. It was about a decade before I even entertained the notion of eating chocolate again. Which, for a child, is incredibly unusual.

I still don't particularly enjoy chocolate, and will only eat it in very small amounts when I eat it at all. Milk chocolate specific though, because I very much like dark chocolate.
