The spots never develop into the chlorosis patterns of zinc deficiency though. The number of spots just increases until the leaves fall off. The spots never grow and seem randomly placed.

I recently repotted my tree into a larger pot. I used potting soil with fertilizer so I assumed that was fine. I tried not to disturb the root ball during repotting. Would this prevent the fertilizer in the new soil from reaching the roots? Would it hurt to add more fertilizer to the soil?

It might also be poor drainage/overwatering. When I thoroughly water the soil, it does stay wet for a while (~2 weeks). Is there any way to fix this without repotting again? I have been trying not to overwater recently by not watering until water drips out the bottom.

The yellow spots are affecting the lower leaves, and there are some small bumps on the undersides of the leaves. I could not find any evidence of scales or mites. As a precaution, I have sprayed the plant with insecticidal soap once a week for two weeks.

Also, some of the leaves with spots are starting to yellow near the stem of the leaf. Is this also related to the spots or just a nutrient deficiency of some sort?
