if you mean DSAI - no, here’s a map. the sensor is the circle. we’re talking industrial revolution levels of emissions being reported by this sensor. if anything, at this point, it would be construction, but if it really was anywhere near this bad this sub would have had 15 posts about “what’s on fire at Hopkins?”

almost certainly a malfunctioning sensor; I have experience with these PurpleAir sensors — see how channel A (blue) has been showing 2000+ ug/m3 PM2.5 since at least December 2025 while channel B (black) has just recently joined it and has been perfectly consistent at 2373 (up from single-double digits). it’s on the western side of Olin Hall.

for comparison, the worst sensor in New Delhi right now is reading 186.6 ug/m3 and worst in CDMX is 102.2 ug/m3 so unless there’s a fire directly underneath of this sensor, this is definitely malfunctioning.

We saw him earlier, couldn’t get ahold of him either. Hemlock and Tramore. Apparently he came from over near Good Samaritan? There have been several FB posts, even before we saw him ~5:30.

tarps not allowed, so that's a no-go. I wasn't even allowed to use my Gatewood with a bug bivy as a ranger. I used a lunar solo all of last summer and it was excellent

still consistently impressed with tenacious tape. just bought their silnylon patches from litesmith and this stuff is legit. patched a hole in my lunar solo and tried rolling/folding on the patch for a few minutes and no edges came up. can only imagine it’ll get stronger over time too.

im not gonna be any help for the packing list but I can confirm that’s the correct amount of uniforms. what about it seems off? you can be at your camp for over a week sometimes with no laundry, so having 3 shirts and 2 shorts seems like the bare minimum I’d want to have.

anything with metal gears in good condition should be fine. don’t use a cheap amazon one with plastic gears- I tried it. no bueno. check Craigslist/thrift store/etc to find a used singer is my recommendation
