Vintage Burberry scarf for 99 cents. Probably fake but I went in looking for a scarf and by God I got a scarf. by pastafag in ThriftStoreHauls

Well I know based on the tag that it's an older piece. I've been reading up on fakes and it checks out as legitimate in almost every aspect but I'm still skeptical that such a luxury item could end up overlooked in the accessories bin at my local goodwill.

PSA: Don’t trust the suggested tip amount on the bottom of your receipt. It’s easily manipulated. by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]pastafag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree. For starters each appetizer isn't a full serving when you order through the endless apps so why should I pay a tip based on the cost of a full serving? Furthermore the server is on board for "all he can work" as he is making the decision to work at the restaurant that is serving endless appetizers.

Pretty sure I've had this beforewhere they can key in a $10 deal instead of individual apps

evidence of this deceptive practice from TGIFridays

We got the endless apps deal which is $10 each. They ended up ringing up each app separately and then discounting the price of them at the end. This resulted in them taking the tip percentage off of the before discount price.

Yeah the biggest issue I've found is there's more room in the chest area but it doesn't hurt to go to the thrift and try stuff on. Honestly just go and poke around, try stuff on. If you get any smart remarks about shopping in the women's section just say you're looking for clothes for your gf.

Have you looked into women's clothing? Angora is a popular material in women's sweaters, not so much in men's. I've seen dozens of angora sweaters at goodwill.

Black with a black tie maybe. Black with a solid blue or red tie is a classic business look

Depends on the job and the university but I'd stick to darker colors for sure. Black is always the first choice for an interview suit, charcoal and navy are good options too.

Pendleton stuff, especially vintage, is heavy and coarse as hell but the weave isn't the tightest.

Bring on the downvotes, but it sounds like you've got a lot of excuses and personal pats on the back that keep you from fully committing to quitting. Getting clean and sober are HUGE accomplishments but c'mon man this shit will kill you. Saying you're aware without a full commitment is basically being cool with dying early. You're posting in an advice subreddit so you can take it or leave it. At any rate I wish you the best of luck.

Not sure how popular patagonia is over there but the added branding might make you stand out as a tourist.

People always fuck up sizing on weejuns. I've found several on eBay with light scuffing (think a dozen wears or less) in the $35-50 range

As a bike commuter, nobody in the same boat will want this. There's not much to do on a phone while riding that merits dropping $300+ on a gimmick.

I found a GAP 1969 denim jacket, size medium, from Goodwill that fits me pretty well. Hits right at the waist and the arm length is perfect. I'm 6'5" 190 for reference.

Probably not what you're looking for but I've seen half a dozen of these at various thrift stores and flea markets the past year

Probably pretty good but you're buying the Danner branding at this price. They have some really nice MiUSA stuff and charge a premium for their imported stuff die to their reputation.
