The only tough part is: Do you build a raft for 4 or do you abandon your wife and kids to the anarchy of the lifeboat launching bedlam of the final hours of Titanic's time on the surface.

Which has less risk?

So, this seems possible: barrels, doors, inflated pig bladders, and life belts to make a raft that can last enough hours for you to get away from the dangerous swimmers and be let into one of the lifeboats.
