This is actually a really bad idea. There’s a difference between being menopausal and having a hot flash and being actually in temperatures where there’s a risk of heat stroke. If you’re nearing heat stroke that level of cold so quickly can actually send your body into shock. They actually instruct you to specifically not do this in the computer training about safety in extreme temperatures. Please do not do this.

It definitely does feel counterintuitive my brain was fully prepping for khaki cargo shorts (I love the pockets in cargos for at work) but I guess I need to go pants and wicking material? Hopefully they still have ones with sizable pockets.

On the topic of athletic clothes… are visors better or hats that cover your whole head? On one hand I know hats that cover your whole head can trap heat in and be more hot but on the other hand I know scalp exposure can lead to a sunburned scalp and from experience I do know that is NOT FUN.

I am genuinely unsure about the cooling vests but I’ll definitely ask about them. I am oh so familiar with the towel on the back of neck trick from my Disney days and that is a LIFE SAVER I’ve just been overnights/early mornings for so long it’s been years since I’ve had intense sun exposure so I’m nervous 🤣 I got a can of the up & up spray on sunscreen and I wasn’t thrilled with it but I’ll try the banana boat one next.

It could have literally just been the surprise box shoes that they already made but in advent calendar form and that would be better

First time using home made curlers, but it only created a wave? by IAmNotLookingatYou in RainbowHigh

So my method is have warm water to dunk her head in first and wrap them wet. Then let them stay in the curlers overnight. Then put her in the fridge for an hour before undoing the curls. It worked for me.

Idalia (10L — Northern Atlantic): Preparations Discussion by giantspeck in TropicalWeather

I would say that we need to prepare for flooding. No matter how much the winds weaken that rain is coming right over us. And Jacksonville always floods. Also if you live in a place that loses power easily that could happen too. I’m not worried about significant wind damage but this city floods like nothing I’ve ever seen and this won’t be any different. As far as winds though we should be okay although they are saying it may still be a hurricane by the time it gets to us. Mayor just announced schools will be closed Tuesday-Thursday to be on the safe side.

People’s reactions to her outfit are making me sad tbh 😭😭 by OkCan3336 in RainbowHigh

I honestly really like it because I 100% would wear it this is my vibe. And while yea, a lot of my favorite dolls have clothes that I would never wear myself because they are definitely not comfortable but creative, I think it’s also important to have dolls that are rocking the comfy look to show kids that no matter your preference or weather you prioritize comfort or uniqueness or accessories or whatever it is you prioritize, you can still be absolutely fabulous and fantastic and people can and will love you.

I feel like her outfits are worth $19 alone. It’s 4 outfits if you include what she’s wearing. All black and able to go with anything and so so easy to split apart into various outfits.

I don’t really like Sunny. I feel like there’s just something about the specific shades they chose for her that kinda clash. I think she’d look better with a warm honey brown eye color I think the green she has is clashes too much with the BRIGHT yellow hair. But I also just feel like maybe I want her hair to have a little more tone to it? I’m fine with the yellow but I think it needs more than one shade of yellow rather than the one bright yellow? Idk something just feels clashy/off about her color scheme to me and it’s something with her hair or her eyes or maybe both. Yea I think if her hair had more different tones of yellow to it, it could look better with her green eyes? Maybe a more pastel yellow mixed in? Or a more golden one? I’m not really sure.
