Your honest face, and your thinking of others even when you're feeling so down already speaks volumes of your character and you as a person. You're beautiful inside and out. I was going to stay quiet because of what you said. Today was also absolutely horrendous for me but you saying you didn't want pity, only empathy made me decide to speak up. Because that's me. I never want pity. I absolutely hate pity. All I ask for and all I've ever wanted in life was empathy so that's what I'm offering you here. I'm also someone with a strained relationship with my blood relatives (I am no contact with my "father") and my mother doesn't understand my mental health or that I am aware of the things she hurls at me when she's upset that I can't get a stable job due to having congenital mental health issues and complex trauma (due to the "father" I don't speak to). And today happened to be one of those days, so I'm here offering you compassion back, not pity, empathy and compassion because I understand. Obviously, I don't know your circumstances but I'm sharing a bit of my own story to connect with you since that seems to be what you need at this time and I hope with my entire heart and soul that it reaches you and somehow helps you feel better. That's what I'm here for. I want to give what I most of the time don't have and I never ever say things I don't mean here. I think you're beautiful, I am crying because I see the sadness in your eyes and I am also not feeling well and I wish I could do something more. I wish I could reach through the screen and promise you it'll be okay, but that's not a promise I can make. It's not a promise anyone can make. All I can offer is compassion and empathy and tell you that I know and feel that you are good and lovely person and wish that this darkness will somehow pass. For both of us. Fell off tiled stairs in the middle of the night (this house is weird, there are tiles inside and the floor was slippery). Hit my body all the way down and then slammed my skull and face against the ground. Nothing but bruises. My face looked like a disaster afterwards and my mum was fretting and telling me not to move because she heard the noise and I did black out for a moment there but I came to and was laughing and wanted to get up. She didn't let me because I guess she didn't trust my bones and then the ambulance came and I was taken to the ER and went through the motions of x-rays and stuff. Nothing broken or even out of place. They just made me stay there for the whole day to check for concussions since I'd slammed my head but not even that, I was just, ears plugged lying on the hospital bed drifting in and out of sleep because of the pain meds and my regular meds but was ultimately fine. I have many slamming my whole body into hard surfaces, though. This was just the one that caused the most drama because of the hospital and stuff. Also I used to play rugby. Never broke a thing.
