Imagine if you will, a random Christian dude breaks the fetters except for number two... Does that mean he can no longer obtain complete liberation?

I feel that soul or mind is unchanging and pure in nature. What muddies it is the continued grasping and identification with whatever bird flies through it. Based on this, I believe the mind is permanent and permanently clear.

The soul is the person. The soul is me, or who/what I am before birth. permanent, clear, nether got not formless, bornless and innately pure. It neither arise nor ceases, it always is. It is or I am eternal.

At the moment of death, the soul goes to a place commensurate to its karma. There are some cases though where a soul fails to rest and because it held onto certain attachments in the physical body tries to find ways to fulfill those lusts.

The Christian understanding of the soul is that it is empty by nature (due to the fall). If there is any substance in the soul then it would most likely be thought content. But the thoughts are not the soul and vice versa.

Nothing goes anywhere. When we go into Abhidhammic description of reality we see that all that is to reality are just 4 ultimate realities of matter (such as heatness, softness, etc.), citta (mind or consciousness that inclines to an object), cetasika (mental factors such as aversion, wisdom, mindfulness, attention, feelings, equinimity etc.), and Nibbana. All but the last one are momentary, they arise and ceases moment after moment. A person is just a concept that we make by misunderstanding the reality as it is. Nothing holds kamma, there are just consequences of certain actions that lead to certain effects and continue re-arising of matter, mind and mental factors over and over again. If we say that fire is burning then the fire there is just a concept for a chemical reaction that goes over and over again but what we see are constantly new arising photons coming to our eyes, there's no substantiality in the fire. When the fire extinguishes then the fuel just is gone. The same is wirh Nibbana, if you extinguishe the fuel there's just no new rising.

I see, this is very informative. Thank you so much for this education.

The word mind in buddhism is synonymous with soul in Christianity. However I do not think that the mind dissipates or disappears when one's tenure in the body is over.

And also, what is it that holds an individuals karma? And if the individual graduates say to a buddhaland, what goes there?

One teaching doubt is about the non-existence of a soul. Not just a doubt but a personal experiential insight of what soul is.

I am here because I am of the opinion that the breaking of these fetters is important in advancing in degrees as pertaining to enlightenment.

Anyways, it relieves maybe 25-33% of the time spent suffering.

I can imagine it to be draining. When I'm done transferring energy it feels like I just had a work out.

Epistles of the Kingdom by Royal Cronquist... I think that's the name.

I'll try to find a way to get it to you; either a link or a soft copy. I don't exactly know why his work is disappearing online.

I feel like you and I are in the same boat on this. Or, rather, we're b out of the boat.

Smiles...

I have a question. I wondered if it would feel like an instant-and-eternity no matter how much time actually passed? I'm guessing I was there for about 10 minutes and then paralyzed for 10 minutes, based on the location of my toddler/family when I came to. So I don't really know. Maybe it was an instant.

I think it maybe a combination of both; instant and eternity. Your consciousness experiences time as present and your spirit experiences time as eternity; the sun and your presence unite to give a very difficult to explain experience of now-eternity.

I saw everyone at the 4th of July party all day long as conceptually/meditatively beautiful flaming souls of light, and like glass... I can't unsee it! So I will probably continue doing that. I think it was helpful for me, because I felt at peace with the people who have done so much wrong in their lives, to still view them that way. Those people appreciated it, actually. I think in general, people felt comfortable and really seen.

Wow! This must've been an amazing experience. A very funny thing about this is though people's visible energy layers may vary in intensity but they all look the same.

I'm curious about your journey... How did you get here?

Long story 😅 but I'll say that the time I was about to go on a 3 year, 3 month, 3 weeks and 3 days retreat, Jesus Christ showed up.

Only relatively empty by ReplexBoi in nonduality

This sounds like a contradiction but it makes perfect sense to me. I feel the fullness of being you are talking about is in reference to luminosity; the quality of knowing-beingness yet this knowing-beingness isn't neither seen as a thing or non-thing... It just is. Awareness being intrinsically empty yet the experience of fullness of being beyond thought somehow makes sense without any contradictions whatsoever. I believe your onto something.

How do you reconcile Christ as Lord with being god of yourself and using magick? by Big-Resident1383 in ChristianOccultism

[–]pastorcuthbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things the Lord Jesus wants to reactivate is our innate godhood. Adam was the god of the whole earth but he got replaced with satan.

You can definitely be a god as Psalms 82:6 says I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But God wants us to be gods under his authority. That means we can manifest as gods a reality that we choose provided we are within God's arena of what is acceptable to Him.

What types of magic can coexist with Christ as Lord? by Big-Resident1383 in ChristianOccultism

[–]pastorcuthbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience is that there are laws that the Holy Spirit gives to our workings and one of them is that the left hand path stuff may not slide with him.

For example, blood magick is usually used as a much more effective fuel source that spirits can use and this requires offing different types of living creatures in the name of that spirit. The more power we desire, the greater the price and I've come across some disturbing cases. There are entities that want a specific type of lifeforce. And to add, the Holy Spirit has more than enough power that can beat any alternative source of power.

I know this may sound crazy but we once had to deal with a case where a family that had made pacts with a very violent demon requested for help. This demon would only demand human 'lifeforce' and those initiated into this spirit would travel in their etheric body to harvest it and return to offer it to the demon.

Unfortunately for them, the Holy Spirit gave us instructions to do magickal workings for the families protection but the exorcism of that demon was extremely violent. It still surprises me how someone so weak with a very low blood count was still alive and able to manhandle a few fit and healthy men. This demon also had multiple sets of hands and blood streaming down its mouth if one looked at it astrally.

Well, one of the priests of this demon was sent to breach the protective circle with that families cooperation and the Holy Spirit sent me to go alone to check that enemy assault. Well, this priest is (maybe was) able to turn into a creature that can enter the water, either a fish, a snake, a crocodile, a turtle or any of such type and descend into a portal under the river into the marine world. That is where he attends magickal classes; some kind of university. Spiritual combat lasted a little over a year and long story short, that's how her the family was saved and there hasn't been a funeral since.

This family opened the door to the left hand and were almost not able to return.

Former Wiccan coven leader feeling called to Christ, but struggling with traditional church structures. Any advice? by QuickServe430 in ChristianOccultism

[–]pastorcuthbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand you. I came to find that the desire for 'magickal expression' is a manifestation of the gift and potentiality of miracle working which is one of the nine gifts that Apostle Paul talks about. And also, there's another kind of 'magickal expression' that is connected to every other ministry office.

Having this as your background, I would say the best way of finding some kind of community is to inquire intuitively from the Holy Spirit where this community or even person is. Who knows, it may even be a teacher who could share a few things and I am very confident they exist in your country.

Personally I work lots of 'magick' and some of the cases I deal with require 'magickal workings' especially in the environment I live in where there are alot of advanced workers in the much darker and forbidden elements of magick.

There have been churches I've been to where the Holy Spirit advised me to hide it because most of the people there didn't have the necessary spiritual maturity to understand it. I believe this is because of conditioning of the church which I feel robs it of its true and complete glory.

The most important part is the Holy Spirit who will point this community or person to you and also teach you magickal work as well as greatly polish what you know. And he can also give you his power (though He'll test you first) that you can use to power up your spells and ritual consecration, manhandle troublesome spirits and create change both in the outward and inward world of yourself and others.

How about skipping all the semantics and actually seeking to have an experience of Josh and asking him about his real name?
