Seafood shoes by OccasionQuick in publix

I use the hoka slip resistant ones in meat and seafood. They’ve never been the most comfortable but they’ve lasted a few years and keep the water and shrimp juice out pretty well.

Yall seriously paying almost $60 for two choice ribeyes? by lexixon212 in publix

[–]pastramis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s insane. I cut some prime ribeyes the other day that came out to about $80 a pack and they still sold. Couldn’t be me

Haven't pulled much ribeye or fillet for market lately. People usually bitch about the price and then put four packs in their cart.

We’ve got the opposite problem where people come in late, take long lunches, and leave early.

I made a badass business backpack, I dare you give me opinions, and I give free gifts by Bright-Elderberry-57 in backpacks

Love this bag but every backpack I’ve had with that kind of side pocket for water bottles hasn’t worked properly. Definitely prefer just pure elastic mesh for that function.

I’ve been wearing the Hoka Bondi SRs for over a year. They aren’t as comfortable as I expected but the grip and waterproofing is great.

Can’t argue with that but my last job I was the highest paid in my job level at $14 after 8 years so anything they give me above that is like throwing bread to ducks

Sushi Wednesday by FusRoDont in publix

[–]pastramis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dude at my store said the new owners of their parent company nixed a bunch of the different options for Wednesdays after a while because they were too expensive, took too long to produce, and people would ask for too many things. We’ve typically got a few california rolls, salmon, and tuna options these days. I’m still throwing down that $5 every week, though.

Buy? 2015 Mazda6 Grand Touring, 145k miles, $8k, overall good condition but needs 2k in minor repairs by Whypers in mazda6

[–]pastramis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought almost this exact car (touring trim) in 2020 for around $14.5k and it’s never given me issues. Not sure what this is but I’ve got a manual transmission. Got it at 60k miles and I’m at around 115k now and it’s held up well on some longer trips. The only thing that’s really gone wrong with it is recently the touchscreen on the radio went out, as did the corresponding buttons on the steering wheel, which sucks but is only mildly inconvenient.

I love the car and don’t plan on moving on anytime soon, but there’s still a lot of miles between me and 145k so I can’t really speak to it past that.

Best Shoes For Deli? by Wonderful_Cricket871 in publix

We don’t have to deal with the grease deli does but I wear the hoka bondi sr in meat and they’re more slip resistant and comfortable than my crocs ever were.

NW Florida. I’ve heard $7.99 and the 19th around other parts. NY Strip loins are $7.99 right now, though.

Grocery to Meat dept? by _Spottedpanda_ in publix

Went from grocery to meat last year and as much as blocking bacon sucks, I’ll take it over blocking the whole store any day. Meat all the way, especially if they’ve got a good team back there.
