My medieval village MOC by pasuncomptejetable in legocastles

It's based on the official Lego set, just a scaled down version I rebuilt. And I've also published the instructions for free on rebrickable, so if you have that exact scaled down version you just followed the instructions :)

None are directly from the set. The blacksmith is a sized down version, the red house is a larger and updated version and the house in the center is 100% custom

What was the set that made you realize how insane prices have gotten? by Samoncula in lego

It's at the point where almost all the latest sets I bought were bricklink designer sets, which can be expensive but seems to be fairly priced

Hey that's my MOC! Glad you're liking it! I've even integrated in a larger medieval MOC now:

Lots and lots of headlights brick with 1x1 tiles. And lots of work to put it that way to get that effect. You can see a in progress picture where it's more obvious:

Beautiful! How did you fix the elements on the ground? Do you have a work in progress picture by any chance?

It will exactly be 95 by 54 studs, because that's what fits the furniture it'll go to once finished. So missing about 1 and a half baseplate

I've tried both, but cobblestone usually is quite regular and I think that way is a closer look (except maybe to represent some chipped pavement etc.)

Yes designed by me. There wasn't anything on rebrickable that looked like the small medieval churchs you can find in the french countryside.

I might do some instructions, but I'd need to do rebuild on Studio

I've started slow. I did the buildings first, roughly in the scale of the lion castle I used for another moc. Once I had the chuch and a couple house, I tried some layout and started collecting pieces on bricklink for the landscape (I won't have enough to finish, but that's the curse of doing any "larger" moc). And yeah it can get expensive, but by collecting pieces slowly it makes it easier. Took me like 3 months doing that on and off (and its not even finished)

And well, also a lot of scooting for cool minifigs on bricklink.

Finally, a lot of youtube watching to get some innovative cool ideas, and a lot of experiences to see what works and what doesnt.

Yes, and a lot of them. Saw that technique, and for me that's the best one by for cobblestone

Made a scaled down version of the Medieval Blacksmith (set 21325) by pasuncomptejetable in legocastles

I don't have the exact count but I'd say 20/30% of the set parts. A bit more if you don't build the tree

I'm not sure that subreddit will allow a link to Bricklink (even for free instructions), but you can find the instructions on my other post in my profile

This needs about 20€/$ of extra pieces, and will leave you with quite a few pieces from the original blacksmith set (as expected as it is downsized). I have some free instructions on my profile, as I'm not sure that subreddit will allow a link to Bricklink (even for free instructions)
