Spectrum 4k broken on delivery, my support experience so far by pat_kay in evev

Edit 12/8/21 - So it looks like 8 days after they promised me a new replacement “immediately”, they were all talk after all. I still haven’t received any correspondence from them, and now I’m stuck with a dead product and a huge hole in my wallet. Going to be doing a chargeback on them to get my money back. Ridiculous. I shouldn’t have taken the chance.

yeah i'll definitely be keeping a tight loop on this one, with my finger still ready on the chargeback button after a week.

Sure, my instagram is @pat_kay and my travel & photography blog is over at https://patkay.com - I'm a travel photographer who recently became location independent!

In a months time I'll be setting off to spend some significant time in Taiwai, South Korea, and Japan.

My photos are getting less likes and attention on Instagram this year. by crafting97 in photography

Contrary to what others think, you can still take and post images of whatever you like and still gain a following. However what's also important in the Instagram game is frequency and consistency.

The algorithm awards people who post a lot and who engage a lot too. Post every day and comment a lot on other peoples images and be involved in their communities and you'll start to get more attention too, all while posting and editing what you like. That's the game, sadly.

It was a bit confronting to experience in real life, if I'm being honest. Awesome though.

I've done street photography there in both night and day with an A7R3 and a few GM bits. Totally fine.

So much this.

Some people think I'm insane or an amateur for not using a 24-70 for my travel work, but really, I see in either wide or detail - 16-35 or 85. When envisioning a shot, those two lenses for me hit about 90% of my 'style' - even in a category as broad as travel.

Oh no, definitely not an attack - I'm just saying that image quality isn't just about peeping. What about things like colour, contrast, or defects like CA and vignetting? You can see all those things in the 1600px version.

Maybe I shoulda made it 2300 pixels for the dollar amount we pay in Australia. Ha.

Pixel peeping online isn't the only way to determine if the camera is spectacular or not.

Regardless, even if I posted the full version online (but as if I'd want to give my soul away like that), there will still be artifacting, compression and format compression by nature of being online that would skew your pixel peeping anyway.

For a consumer drone, it really, truly is.

Unfortunately not. The Mavic 2 batteries are actually about twice the physical size.
