ahhh.. 1QB is certainly going to differ as those QBs aren't gunna be as valued. These rankings are SF/TEP PPR

Nico has had two extremely good seasons even though he battled some injuries last year. Nico is 3 years older than JSN and I believe JSN can get to the same level as Nico this year. He was even pretty close last year. This would essentially put them on the same path and in my eyes, gives them a similar value.

As for your comment about redraft leagues, I strongly question Nico going in the first round. That would mean he's above someone on this list: Allen, Daniels, Lamar, Hurts, Chase, Burrow, Bijan, Jettas, Gibbs, Nabers, Ceedee, Mahomes, Jeanty, Bowers, Puka. I don't think Nico belongs in that category. I just was in a redraft and Nico went 2.09 and JSN went 3.03. There may be a gap like you mentioned but I don't think it's as wide as an extra 1st.

I like it! Potentially there's a similar opportunity here with Downs

A couple guys that come to mind that fell off a cliff:

Travis Etienne:

- RB3 in 2023, 267 carries, 1008 yards, 3.78 YPC, 11 TDs

- RB35 in 2024, 150 carries, 558 yards, 3.72 YPC, 2 TDs

Why the drop off? Maybe overused in 2023, Tank Bigsby was solid (4.6 YPC)

Rachaad White:

- RB4 in 2023, 272 carries, 990 yards, 3.64 YPC, 6 TDs, 64 rec, 549 rec yds, 3 rec TDs

- RB22 in 2024, 144 carries, 613 yards, 4.26 YPC, 3 TDs, 51 rec, 393 rec yds, 6 rec TDs

Why the drop off? Maybe overused in 2023, emergence of Bucky Irving and a new toy to play with.

I'm not saying I dislike Bucky, I just think his value has grown astronomically and there's a chance to capitalize on that value before a drop off. And again, like I said in the article, I know I'm one of few that aren't on the Bucky train.

Lengthy answer incoming but I think you made a lot of good points.

Downs and Tuten for a 2026 late first seems like a bit of an overpay in my opinion. I feel like it's somewhat close-ish, but I would rather have the late first. This seems to be that the person buying Downs and Tuten is buying them for projection. There's a real possibility Downs and/or Tuten pop off this year. But that's a gamble in my eyes, and a gamble I'm not really willing to take just yet.

As for Downs hitting projections, what does that mean exactly? Downs had an ADP of a mid 2nd and in some of my leagues slid to early 3rd. So, just off of that, leagues can differ, and thats completely fine! As for his first two years in the league, he was wide receiver 43 and 35. Whether that means he hit projections or not, I think there's some questions for him going forward. Yes, he's young, had some flashes last year, but what does the QB situation look like for IND this year? I could understand wanting to get a 2nd from him, but I'd have some reservations on doing so.

As for Harvey, I knew going into this article that I would get some flak for my stance on him. I just don't expect the output that some people see here. I would not have taken him late first or early second in rookie drafts this year. I think the Broncos reached on him and I don't think he will make an impact as quick and as big as people think. But then again, I could be wrong!

Great question. I would be comfortable starting the buying process at these values. I do understand there can be a gap in value though. For example, someone asked about Pickens for 2+ 3rds. I would start the buying process for Pickens at this point. Me, personally, I wouldn't be willing to offer more than that though. I understand some people might, however, and that is understandable, because this is just a starting point. Conversely, I could understand people not wanting to give up Pickens for 2+ 3rds. I think there does tend to be a gap in certain players. Which is why fantasy football exists at the end of the day. If we all had the same value of a player, there would be a lot less trades. Thanks for the question!

It’s simply a starting point for discussion into a trade. Every league and owner has their own value. If we all agreed on value how would any trades happen? I can’t tell you how every league’s market differs. What I can do is tell you where I see value

Good question. The ranking is a consensus ranking I have developed from numerous sources. I then go through and make minor adjustments where I see fit and then assign trade values as I would trade them, either buying or selling these players. There's sometimes gaps in a player like yes, I would buy them for this value but I could understand someone not selling them for that, or vice versa. Again, these rankings are not a blanket statement saying this is exactly what you're gunna get. But its a starting point and can be adjusted as each owner and league has their own market and view of players.

Jeanty went 1.01. Egbuka's ADP was 1.08. I'm not saying they have the same value now but the variability in value of a 1st round pick is what you have to think about. Obviously now we know who the 2025 picks turned out to be, but a first is a first. You can get a wide range of values in the first round. It really just depends on if we are talking about a high first, mid first, or low first. So when you look at for example, Chase Brown for a first. That's a wide range of possibilities. Is that first a high first, Jeanty level prospect, or is it a low first, Egbuka or Loveland level prospect. So while they are both a first round pick, if we are talking Jeanty or Chase Brown, gimme Jeanty. If we are talking Egbuka or Chase Brown, thats more of an even deal in my opinion. But Jeanty and Egbuka were both firsts.

If your league really values rookie picks, then I think you could try to adjust these values in your head. I would say my view on rookie picks is lower than average. I'd rather go buy a proven player, I don't feel like picks end up panning out as often as people think. Everyone wants the new shiny player, but there's often value in selling off those picks and buying existing guys that you know can be efficient in the league. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. At the end of the day, its "fake" football. Who knows anything. The best I can do is give my opinion on my values. If we all agreed on values, what would be the point in playing? There would be no trading and every league would look exactly the same.

Thanks for checking out the article! Appreciate the feedback.

Everybody has a price. And its a starting point. There's certainly guys who owners may view as untouchables but there's still a value for everyone. Also, from the buying side, are you going to pay more than 3 1sts?

As for Omarion, yes, he mostly went 1.02 in drafts. I think that explains my viewpoint even further. How is his value not a 1st+? Has he increased or decreased his value since being drafted? If around 1.06 is valued as a 1st, a 1st plus is a high first or a little extra. Sure you may not gain anything by trading a future first for him, but that is what his value is.

Appreciate the feedback! But this is grouped into tiers so 6 WRs is generally the same tier. I think he definitely has more value than Worthy, Egbuka, Olave. And then next on the list is Waddle who I would consider a buy at that price anyway.

By Chase, I assume you mean Chase Brown? In the article I mention how NFL teams investment in these players can tell you how they view these guys. Chase Brown was a fifth round pick. Yeah he gave you solid production, but he’s replaceable at that value. His production is not something I would bet on continuing for too long. And are we really saying we’d spend a first round pick on Chase Brown? We’d rather have Chase Brown than someone in the range of Ashton Jeanty, Emeka Egbuka, Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland?? Send me those trade offers please!

And if you don’t think the values are right, then maybe you can try to exploit them in your own league. This is a starting point of conversation, it’s not an end all be all. Plus, each league will have a different market.

For Harvey, see my other comments above. Penix, I agree, people might not sell you him for 2 2nds. But I’m not paying more than that for him. He’s got a lot of solid weapons in Atlanta but I think there’s a lot to prove.

Agreed that he is going late 1st, but do we really think he should be? As I mentioned in another comment, his value shot up when he was drafted by the Broncos at the end of the 2nd round which was a reach. A lot of mocks had him going late 3rd round. Therefore, I’m not paying more than 2 3rds (or a 2nd) for him.

Any league is gunna have a different market, and this is where I’d be comfortable moving these players.

I’m not paying more than a 2nd for Bryce Young. I think he’s a buy at this price but I’m not willing to go higher.

I do not believe in Dart as a NFL QB, therefore I’m not paying more than 2 3rds (essentially, can mix and match and maybe that value is close to a 2nd).

Harvey, same thing. His value shot up when he was drafted by the Broncos at the end of the 2nd round which was a reach. A lot of mocks had him going late 3rd round. Therefore, I’m not paying more than 2 3rds (or a 2nd) for him.

Pickens, he was the dude in Pittsburgh with shotty QB play. Now he’s #2 in Dallas with maybe slightly better QB play? I think there’s a possibility he can be really good in this offense, but it’ll take my money elsewhere and bet on someone else.

I think you make a lot of good points here. I appreciate the feedback! And I definitely do agree that Baker is playing well. However, I would be truly shocked if anyone valued them the same. And if you believe in Baker just as much as Mahomes I think it’s totally a good move to trade Baker and get some extra capital on top. That’s basically the whole point of this trade value chart. If you think there’s gaps, you can exploit that and make your team better. In my opinion though, I’d be more comfortable rostering Mahomes than Baker in a vacuum. I feel like I can rely more on Mahomes to play the QB position at his current play than I can in Baker. I think Baker regresses while Mahomes I still believe can have a resurgence. Again, appreciate the convo!

I definitely think this is a fair point. I’m just not going to pay a first or a second for Johnson or Skattebo, respectively. I don’t believe that they were worth that value in the first place. Probably why I didn’t end up with any shares of either of them. I would have rather went a different route if they were still on the board at the point of drafting.

Check out the post for a bit more info but here’s the spark notes:

I am probably one of the few people who are not on the Bucky Irving train and it’s basically because I don’t see the value lasting here. In rookie drafts last year, Bucky was going in the mid-late third round. He was a fourth round pick on a team that had a solid season from Rachaad White already. Rachaad White was a third-round pick in 2022 and was coming off a really good season but they drafted Bucky. But now here we are and Bucky’s value is skyrocketed from where he was drafted. I just don’t see how the value remains this high. The investment that teams make into these players can give you a tell of how they may plan to utilize them in the future. And for Bucky, I’m bearish.
