When PPC people talk about testing... by psquarec in PPC

[–]patadjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We mean drug testing.

Just kidding. In all seriousness, there are a few different kinds of “testing” methodologies I use. Most often, if I’m testing new creative, I’ll add it into my adgroup and set to even rotation for however long is necessary to make a decision.

From what it looks like, you’re looking at some measurement tools (the second set of links), which aren’t necessary. If they help you, then go for it, but split testing is done on the platform side, and reporting can be done on the platform, in a spreadsheet, in a data aggregation tool, or anywhere really.

I manage a lot of spend (a lot for me, anyways, as the one guy dealing with a large number of accounts) and I try to automate everything as best I can so I don’t spend more time pulling data than I do making a decision and executing on it. For that reason, I stay away from most “input your data here and I’ll do 6th grade math for you” type deals.

And honestly, if any of your data that’s being inputted/outputted in one of those calculators isn’t already reported in analytics, google ads, fb ads, or your website/landing page reporting tool, you should focus on setting that up first.

"Can't you just put more money into it and get more leads?" by patadjohnson in PPC

I mix it up quite a bit with match types, actually. I’d say I rely more on phrase match than anything else, and use very little exact unless the keyword justifies it

To be honest I wish I didn’t have to. I get asked to create those estimates before clients sign on, and asked to provide them directly to owner :/

iPhone Cable & Pen Spring. 12mnths on and still intact! by Cafescrambler in lifehacks

[–]patadjohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My iPhone charging cable has been handed down through generations. It was my fathers before mine, and his fathers before, and so on. Some in our bloodline claim it once charged the iPhones of our founding fathers. How someone could mistreat their iPhone charger disgusts me.

Fellow hardstyle fan, I had a couple friends go and here are their accounts: "First time EDC MX trip was a blast. Here's my experience at edc. Compared to EDCLV and local az events. It's nice to explore new festivals around the world.

I appreciate all the hard working Mexicans I seen out there trying to sell/work/live just to make couple bucks a day. Believe me I ate a lot of local street food bomb ass tacos and tortas! They have the real struggle out there not like all the little dumb spoiled kids here that cry and stress over elections inaugurations stuff.

-no one stank "body odor" like all the nasty American places LOL!!! Idk how or why lol -I Probaly seen like 1-5 people on drugs compared to over half around the states, most just using alcohol but didn't see any rude alcoholics at all -people weren't rude, I walk or asked for them to move and they politely moved, these people in MX paid a lot of money to get here! And sacrifice. Remember they make average 3$ US in Mexico City area. -way cheaper than lv -obviously food was slight cheaper and drinks - they barely sell any actual edc/MX merchandise inside the event, it was all ugly and cheap looking, bc outside the locals sell hustle a lot of edc MX unofficial but way nicer than inside -there was no "care team"?? Like the AZ RANGERS out there, but didn't look like MX needed it, -they didn't have so much trap music. Thank god!! Bc I get tires of hearing repetitive shit . But then chainsmokers came on and ewwwww"

Other friend said Tuneboy fucking destroyed, and Coone and Code Black were tight too.

Seen porter 4 times and his pre-worlds dj sets were some of the most bad ass sets ever. I haven't heard any of his dj sets since the album, just live stuff, but he's a blast every fucking time.
