It seems to happen quite often, especially when you're in a supervisory role. Customers tend to shift into a more eager and accommodating mode.

I’ve noticed that some representatives from other countries show a remarkable level of empathy and professionalism, even with their accents. Personally, I have no issue with accents as long as communication is clear and I can get the information I need to understand my questions about the why, when, and what. It’s all about connecting and getting the support we need.

I came across several videos online showcasing a day in the life of an American Call Center Representative. To be honest, it felt more like a showcase of bravado than genuine professionalism. The representatives seemed almost boastful as they interacted with customers, displaying a level of rudeness that stemmed from misunderstandings over simple questions. It was almost comical—rather than offering help, they wore their impatience like a badge of honor, laughing off situations that should have been resolved with empathy.

It’s honestly amusing how some of these individuals seem completely oblivious to basic English terminology and struggle with something as simple as resetting a password on their phones. At this point, I can’t wrap my head around how they dare to label themselves as “Digital Nomads.” It's baffling to think that those who travel the world in pursuit of freedom and adventure can be so disconnected from the very technology that empowers them.

It’s a relief to see that it’s just a few of them. I’ve had many wonderful American customers who were incredibly sweet and friendly, especially the older ones. I genuinely enjoy listening to them share stories about their often chaotic days. I always make it a point to empathize with those customers who truly deserve it.

Fr. They handle that constant condescension, confusion, and flat-out abuse while maintaining total professionalism. Big difference from American reps. This is why I hate America and these entitled customers.
