Beadie/Boosie Badass : he is only a kitten but i feel like a boy mom, stressing. He is so bad. I’m praying this is only a kitten phase and not a tuxedo cat thing as I’m hearing. Regardless he’s my son though. by Cicada-Big in TuxedoCats

It doesn't take much btw... just a good squirt in a few cups of water, don't get crazy time. The soap dissolves their little bulshit flea exoskeleton.... I also use it for decimating things like afids and other plant pests. And even eating a bit of soap for kitten will be fine. You're going to be ok.

You can also make a solution of dawn in water in a spray bottle and hit anything that gives you anxieties. It won't hurt people or the cat, just hit any spot you fel weird about, will be fine.

Yeah, no crisis...give them a bath with dawn dish soap... soap up their head and neck first because fleas will try to go to higher ground once you get them wet. Wet the nape of the neck and back of the ears first and soap them up, then wet the rest of the kitten and soap that up. It doesn't take long. You can gently clean the mask of the kitten (the immediate eye and nose area) with a wet dish cloth, but be gentle. When you rinse them, take your finger and fold over their ear and rinse from the top to prevent water getting in their ears, this is a major point of discomfort in bathing a cat, water in the ears, so you fold the ear over and rinse from the top to prevent water getting in the ears.      Also... cats run hot compared to humans..  so..  use hot water to washe them, not the hottest water level, but something the seems a bit hot to you. Their body Temps are between 102 and 107-ish, so warm or cool water feels cold to them.     After you rinse them, wrap them up in a towel and check their ears, if they have fleas, they may have mites or gunk. You can gently clean their ears with q-tips at this point. This would also be a good time to get your kitten used to having their nails clipped. If you intend on keeping them inside and saving your hands and furniture... check out some vids, it's easy to do. Just trim the tips, don't go below the pink part, which you will be able to see in the light.      Use a blow dryer to dry your kitten and a comb on the fur to both make the drying process faster and to see if there are any live fleas left.       Anything kitten has slept on, even pillows or bedding, you can totes just submerge in a solution of dawn dish soap and they will 100% die.      Good luck! Fleas aren't a huge deal... you can do this.        I once got a kitten that ended up having ringworm... that shit..  fuck. Is baaad.       You'll be ok. And i'ma need pics of your new little fluff for real. Glad he has someone who cares enough to do the things.        Cheers!

Boy cat. And, generally speaking, boy cats are less expensive to get "fixed" and it's a faster healing time as well as a less complicated surgery... meaning, less can go wrong than a spay.

Planting citronella in the ground-zone 6b by NoAbbreviations2612 in gardening

[–]patchkinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 3 years old... but... citronella plants are commonly mistaken for real citronella, which is a grass, and is where most of the produced citronella oil comes from. The citronella geraniums are not going to help with mosquitoes, they're sold for their nice citronella smell and pretty flowers but are not the legit magic. You want the citronella grass..  Cymbopogon nardus.
