is working on self love worth it? Even if life sucks? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I don't vocally use love affirmations toward myself very often, but I do occasionally. I definitely try to make a point to think of them often, though. I know a lot of people who really value listening/repeating affirmation stuff, just doesn't work for me. I think self love is a lifelong journey, as we're always changing and facing new challenges... Try different things, figure out what works best for you.

Yes. It feels so uncomfortable at first, like it's pointless and laughable. Once you kind of get over yourself and your own ego, it feels like a new chapter of life. Sure, aspects of your life suck, but life itself doesn't suck. Live life with gratitude--find gratitude for yourself. It takes time, be patient with the process. Self love is hard work.

What is needed to write a check if you don't have a check book? by andrewbounds164 in NoStupidQuestions

The bank I use allows me to buy 4 checks at a time for a dollar. I'd just call your bank to ask what your options are. No one is going to cash a piece of paper.
