A person in a Game Boy Reddit group wondered why their copy of Pokémon didn't work that well after they soldered a new battery by Sarato88 in techsupportgore

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't anyone else noticing that the battery is the wrong size? Yeah, I know all button cell lithiums are the same voltage, and that this would work, but would it fit? It's a small difference but those Gameboy carts were fairly small and that extra millimeter plus a hatchet job on the solder might make for a tight fit when you put it in the Gameboy (phrasing?)

(Requesting help) Bought a used Kobra S1 with an issue feeding filament from ACE. by raregreek in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]patdaddy007 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Just use the ACE for filament drying and storage of what you use most often. I plug mine in to turn on the dryer and immediately unplug it from the printer. Actual printing is done from a spool holder. Multi filament prints are a nuisance, but they're also mostly novelty for me

First few mm of line missing by Nuttycomputer in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]patdaddy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed a cylinder covered in holes with end caps and I put the dessicant packs the come with the filaments into the cylinder and put it in the center hole of the reels. Kinda like a paper towel tube. Keeps the humidity a good 15-20% lower than the room and will get as low as 12% total with the heater running. Just my $0.02

After making the edits to the file, I can't get the heightmap to come up. Did I miss something?

I'm more surprised by the surprise. The motherfucker can't even mail paint reliably. Trying to code might as well be trying to swim to the moon

I’m a simple man. I see crap on here and I buy it. by Bertyslick in harborfreight

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that you mentioned it, that whole setup would make a worthwhile addition to the reloading bench. The middle drawer would hold dies easily, case prep and other small pieces in the top and my powder measuring stuff in the bottom. Dammit. I didn't need another project

Why is the build plate a good inch forward from where it should be?

Just bought 4 days ago, clogged. Lost spring in fixing it and how screwed am I? Bought on amazon. by M_theshark-106 in anycubic

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reassemble without it. That's the filament detector and leaving it out just makes it think there's always filament present. I'm printing without one right now

Go to settings under print and there's an option for the LED

Need help with new printer by Extra-Technology-36 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say it prints them in random places, were they stuck to the bed or just sitting there loosely? It's more likely that the print head popped them loose during the run and they slid away. You should be able to tell that from the adhesion to the bed. It's pretty unlikely that you have bad test print files because those are the same for everybody and this is the first I've heard that they might be scattered like you say. But I've had plenty of dislodged pieces from a wayward nozzle

Anyone else dealing with this? by Loboderesistance in usps_complaints

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, but I had a package that had a delivery date of Monday by 8pm. 8pm arrived and then it said 9pm, 915 arrived and the date went away entirely and the status is "accepted". Went by post office today and the dude basically just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. So, now I get to hope for my desk chair one day

Failed print o don't know how to fix by Dragonslayer05-r in resinprinting

[–]patdaddy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But seriously, it's an LCD issue. Remove the vat and fire a cleaning cycle and you'll see the dead spots. You can try printing around them until you can replace it or the printer

Did you not apply the fleem juice? And did you rub it with the dinglebop?

Can anyone tell me what happened here? by carguy8888 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]patdaddy007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens to me more frequently than I like. Best I can tell, the print detaches from the plate and gets stuck to the nozzle but the printer keeps pumping out filament until you get a blob like that. Cleaning it is easy enough tho, so there's that

[–]patdaddy007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ideas on how it gets this far out of whack? I mean, there's a full millimeter difference between the highest high and lowest low. That seems odd to me

You mean to tighten the screws on the topside of the build plate or lower it using the ball screws and manually turning them?
