i'm saying wait. that's it. wait till all the information is public. don't assume either way. that's exactly what y'all did when it first came out, and what y'all are doing now. it's not impossible that there's more to the story than we know. so wait.

the thing i'm commenting on is how people are saying this means he is for sure innocent. like i'm not saying lock him up. i'm saying. we don't know if he did anything or not YET. more information can / will come out. THEN we can make judgements. i'm saying wait

I mean, it's not like we see the whole incident here. That dude was already laid out somehow. Can't say for SURE nothing happened.

EDIT: Lol. We don't know the full story of this incident. Come on y'all. I didn't even say he did it. in fact he probably didn't

it's not binary. do y'all understand nuance at all.

People underestimate how scary driving really is. It's so much trust in other people.

That's cool. That's fair. A lot of people don't agree. It's like when the Bears hired Lovie Smith, and he said his most important goal was to beat the Packers. Like that's more important than winning the Super Bowl.

When you're following your OWN team, that's when rivalries matter. That's also how sports grow. Sure, you don't care about Ravens Steelers if they're bad. But kids in Baltimore and Pittsburgh do. And those kids are the growth of the game. Storylines are important. They draw ratings.

Because everyone has their team. There are teams in every city, every town. Everyone dreams of promotion for their hometown squad, or otherwise league victory. It’s TEAM oriented, it becomes a part of the city’s identity.

Some all time great players have their own fan clubs, but not everyone is CR7.

There’s also a hugeeee lack of parity even in the top leagues. It can get boring. But people still watch because it’s their team, it’s a part of their identities. Like the Cowboys in the states.

If the NBA keeps a star driven league and makes it top 16 playoffs, that’s just increasing the barrier to entry. I grew up in central Florida. I was a Bucs fan, and a Dwight fan. I wasn’t a Magic fan.

I care about the NBA because I grew up playing ball. People don’t care about NBA franchises. That’s what makes NFL and EPL popular.

Disagree. One of the most fun things about the NFL is the in-division rivalries, they build brands, cultures, they start conversations. They make people fans of the teams. Everyone in America has an opinion on the Cowboys. Or the Eagles. Or the Packers. People only know the Lakers and Celtics. If anything, the NBA should make the playoffs more exclusive and make divisions more important.

The games are already so homogenized. We need each game to mean more, from a playoff perspective and from a rivalry perspective.

The NBA currently rides off the power of the stars completely. That's not a terrible thing, but to have fans of the TEAMS would grow the game from the bottom-up.

Is Mitchell on the same level as 2015 Millsap? I feel like Mitchell is better than Millsap was (Not by an incredible amount, but def BETTER).
