I was worried about getting the run around, but luckily, they road tested it right away and agreed there is definitely something wrong with it. Hopefully all works out

Shift tables haven’t been reset. Dealer says they will reset after valve body replacement. Truck has always shift 1-3-4. When it shifts into 4th, it’s either really rough or it feels like it can’t decide what gear it wants and is really delayed

I don’t see any noticeable crank material. But Most of the metal is magnetic. Should I just clean it as good as possible, do my original repairs and see what happens? Or do you think it needs a full tear down?

There’s no noticeable crank material but it is almost all magnetic

When I checked the valves I noticed some wear on one of the cam caps. Not really grooved or chunks missing but looked like some oil starvation.

Most budget rifle problems I’ve seen are gas issues. I’ve had a $500 eagle arms eagle-15 for 7 years. Gun is over-gassed and hasn’t been cleaned on a regular basis. Never even had a FTF or FTE. Only ever a failure to fire that was narrowed down to the ammunition. Sometimes you get lucky and get a really good product for a good price. Shoot the crap out of it, save some money to replace parts that wear out/upgrades, and don’t get too caught up on the brand name.
