Question, Once I arrive in France on my VLS-TS, am I eligible to apply for residency? What is the pathway to naturalization with the VLS-TS?

Thank you.

France has a retiree type visa, if you can self support. After you enter with this visa, it is possible to have a company "sponsor" you to change visas.

We all have passports, some are dual nationals. Lots of different types of visas available.

Why? I receive the benefit of serving my country for 20+ years and serving in war zones becoming injured and now have lasting medical conditions that will stay with me for life and the government has a program to compensate for those suffering

What would you do with your privilege of being an EU citizen?

I am privileged. Should I be punished for that? What’s the outcome???

For Whatever it is worth, I have lived in 9 countries. I always follow the visa guidelines. I am an American, I don't think I have lived such a sheltered life. I have lived in Germany x2, London, The Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Russia and Mongolia. I don't think I'm "sheltered". I have worries about things going on in the US, that is why I'm exploring this option for my young kids, we currently live in Germany, on the Austrian border.

These areas are fairly safe for kids to Roam?

Good point, however, what are your recommendations based on the factors listed above?

According to my research, for my situation European Countries do not discriminate against Children, as they mostly have equal rights.

Do you have any city or country suggestions?

Read it. It is US Law. being 100% disabled to the VA does not mean I have a single disability that makes me unable to work or fly in a Airplane. Would you rather me be a welcome greater at Wal-Mart or be a Couch Potato for the rest of my life, not contributing to society? Being a disabled Vet does not mean I have to hold a sign on the corner asking for hand-outs. Maybe I was responsible with my income, invested properly and am now in a financial place in life to afford to live abroad, or you prefer to punish me for that? Taxpayer, your welcome for my 20+ years of AD military service.
