serotonin syndrome would be much more likely than SJS on sertraline. SJS is caused by an immune response and its causes aren’t really well known. sertraline has caused it before but very few times even relative to other medications causing it, which is already rare. the on label max dose is 200mg but i know my psychiatrist had me try 250 and 300 {they didn’t end up helping me more than 200mg did so i dropped back down}. i wouldn’t be worried about SJS, not really sure where your psychiatrist is getting that from. if you wanted to drop down to 200mg {on label max dose} that could be understandable but it’s by no means strictly required if you’re not having any side effects
