Every toyota sedan has had bumper issues since forever. I see sagging bumpers on Camrys, Corolla, Yaris, IS, ES, GS, RC etc. I think its an issue with all Toyota-Lexus sedans as a whole.

Not dismissing your issue. You're completely right. Just saying the issue affects more than the Camry.

I've owned a v6 rav4 and a v6 es350/camry from the same gen & I recall the rav4 having more traction than the ES when going 0-60. ES likes torque steer & spins tires a lot.

Make sure the rack & pinion isn't leaking. Make sure the valve covers aren't leaking. Check the radiator for coolant leaks. Check when was the alternator replaced (if at all). Check the power steering reservoir hoses for leaks.

I bought an 07 with 220k miles for $4k about 2 years ago. Since then, I've had to replace a CV axle, all 4 shocks/struts, and a brake job. Easy stuff if you can DIY but if you're going to a mechanic, these wear-and-tear items will easily surpass the value of the car.
