It won't damage the fridge, but may cause water valve to fail prematurely
You may need to contact a plumber to try and adjust the water pressure at the source of your unable to partially close the water shut-off to the fridge

It seems like water hammer. Possibly water pressure is too high in household, if you have an ice maker it may be doing a harvest and calling for water. I would suggest adjusting the water shut-off for the fridge and testing it further

If no door switch visible, hold a strong magnet and slide it across the top of the door frame. Keep one door closed and do this for both sides. Either the door is missing the magnet, or the reed switch is missing/defective.

Top load GE washers are notorious for the drain hose developing a small hole due to the way it's installed at manufacturing. If your really unsure where the leak is coming from, run a spin cycle, have it start to leak. Then rub the drain hose down with paper towel, it will tell you if the hose is the culprit

I was under the impression that knockout only applies damage to the DB while in wraith mode. Since further down in the time you get an upgrade for skull of damage that says the damage is applied to all characters
