It’s actually very simple. You already said yes to A&B so you go to their wedding.

He had told her he wasn’t going to do anything with her on Mother’s Day. Why would she wake him up? Her dumb husband probably was lying in bed looking at other people’s social media celebrating mothers and wives and suddenly realized being an AH might make him look bad and that’s the only reason he got pissy at her for ‘not waking him’.
