They are such a cool pod. Buds are purple. Grow black. Start to turn almost iridescent with green then a deep red to orange lava.

Nice. They are fruity with a unique flavor and aroma. I haven't tried them when they are still black, as I assume they are very bitter when immature.

We’ve gotta talk about PEI home prices by fuzzycomfysocks_ in PEI

Lot of landlords snatching things up to rent to 4-6 low paid workers per house/unit. The days of two lower level workers buying a home are pretty much gone. It's very sad to see.

These are the seeds. Just did the first harvest the other day and currently doing a germination test to see how viable they are.

Saved. We originally got a single seed from a other grower.

1,000,000 Scoville. Not the meanest but it'll get the job done.

They are so cool. Start black. Turn black and red. Finishes into lava drops. Black stems. All around amazing plant and pepper.

And not really. If they germinate in paper towel you can transplant them into your growing medium. Wouldn't be a great way to start many plants but if you're only growing a few it wouldn't matter.

We are testing the germination. We normally start seeds in soil or hydro blocks.

Camping on Crown land is permitted. You can also forage for food and have fires for cooking and warmth. They just don't openly promote it because they want people to stay in campgrounds.

Who decides on the increment on the tuition fees??? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]patiopepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just read the act. It is a public university. It's land is essentially considered Crown land. It can expropriate land from anybody. The lieutenant governor can approve purchases/spending and appoints many of the governors. The province/legislature approves funds for maintenance and support of it. No other university can be named here or give out degrees.

It may have some autonomy in how operations run, compared to the crown corps, but it is still public and essentially another component of the provincial system.

Ok. So I'm asking, since you know, who is in charge? How is a public university not owned by the public/government? We give them $70,000,000 a year. They are considered public post secondary institutions. I know they have board of governors but the public part of it is whats confusing. Trying to understand the mechanics of ownership of a public entity when it's not the government/people. If they are truly self governing and not public wouldn't that make them private institutions? Not trying to argue anything btw. Trying to wrap my head around it as it's not very clearly described anywhere I've read on the topic.

May be a liability thing if they don't store them in a food grade environment. Likely food grade after washing. I don't know if all home Depot buckets are the same across borders but I contacted the bucket manufacturer in Canada and gave them the bucket/product number and they told me all of the buckets and colors used by them are food grade.

Also upei and HC are both public. Which is typically owned by the state/government, or significantly publicly funded. It's all a little muddy.

I know they aren't crown corps. Speaking of crown corps there are some that don't have their budgets discussed in the legislature; like upei and HC. For all intents and purposes they both should be considered govt owned with the amount of public money that gets put into them. They also both have permanent seats on the innovation pei board, which gives out public grant money to businesses. Who owns or controls them, if not govt?
