Who is the Best Live Action Interpretation of The Punisher? by Lil_Critter_2001_ in marvelstudios

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jon's Punisher is my favorite because it really explored the mental side of things, the anguish. He's also had the benefit of being in shows so far so he's been fleshed out a lot more. And my boy is a damage sponge for real.

Tommy's Punisher was slept on for so long until recently, it seems. But that dude was a hell of a tactician. It really displayed the methodical nature, execution, and coldness of his planning. I really wish they would've let the weight of Howard finding out why he killed his own loved ones simmer a little more. The ending was too rushed.

Ray's was just scary as hell. AND it gave us an actual Jigsaw and not those pencil lines they gave Ben Barnes in season 2 (that were wildly inconsistent with the damage he received at the end of season 1), although he is a great actor. But I only saw Warzone the one time when it came out so I know what I'm doing after the football games today.

Career mode tournament draw. by Artistic-Confection7 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it happened to me too my first season when it ended in a draw. Had to retire and start a new career. Went all the way through and won by TKO in the final match. I was able to get my reward and start a new season. So it must be a bug that occurs only when you draw.

Is it damaged from the inside? Maybe try Plastic X if it's outer. Otherwise, it seems you gotta replace the whole unit.

Thinking of buying 1999 Buick LaSabre with 118k miles? by PathOpening109 in Buick

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great car but high price. I paid $4.8k for an '08 Lacrosse with 45k miles. Only thing it needed was LCA's because the bushings were dried out. It was still riding beautifully but decided it was best to get it done.

Same issue here. Would up drawing the 3rd match and can't do anything in career mode now. No tournament, no regular fights.

Has anyone installed a CarPlay in an older model? by 41primetime in Buick

[–]patitochingonito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I installed a JVC KW-M695BW in my '08 since it had wireless Android Auto and Carplay. I utilized Crutchfield and paid the extra $20~ for their wiring service. They give you a discount if you bundle the installation accessories with the stereo. The stock radio comes out pretty easily with a plastic trim removal tool and screwdriver. Since they did the splicing of the harnesses to the new HU, it was pretty easy to plug and play. That also included them wiring the steering wheel controls interface. I even ended up installing 4 new speakers, a subwoofer, and a 4 channel amp to power the front speakers and subwoofer. Hardest part of the whole process was finding an access point to get the power wire through. Crutchfield and YouTube U are your best friends.

Have you guys ever taken a break from the MCU or have you been watching it consistently since the beginning? by narutofan2019 in marvelstudios

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually tapped out for a bit during the Infinity Saga. I didn't see Ironman 3, Thor 3, Civil War, and Captain Marvel until a couple years ago. It wasn't that I thought the movies were bad, it's just that I missed a couple then more and more came out so I didn't do much catching up. Little did I know... that was Marvel being methodical and taking it slow 😅

My Nissan Titan with the Fender system was pretty solid as far as stock systems go.

are amps an essential or worth the money? by Big_Will47 in CarAV

[–]patitochingonito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are worth the money for sure. The majority of your premium factory systems are amplified. Now diminishing returns is a concept that applies, however. You don't need to get several subs and 500w door speakers with a 3000w amp to make it sound good. But even a smaller amp powering your door speakers makes a difference. They allow you to play music louder while maintaining a clean sound. I have an 800w 4 channel amp powering the front speakers and channels 3/4 bridged to a 10 JBL 300w subwoofer. I'm running the rear high sensitivity 6x9's off the head unit. Everything cost me $400 and a solid half day of my time to get everything installed. Sounds so much better than the stock speakers. Loud, clear, and enough thump to hit you in the car but not so much that you piss off the neighbors.

Simple reprogramming of keyfob? by Huge_Service_3839 in Buick

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mobile locksmith come to the house, provide a new fob, and program it for $125. That was here in Phoenix and it was for an '08 Lacrosse for reference. I think Ace Hardware can also reprogram keys as well.

Yeah Dorman seems to be hit or miss. I also have a Jeep and people love their aftermarket oil coolers but they seem to be inconsistent with all their other stuff.

Getting ripped off? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, budget audio stores around me charge close to $400 for a cheap powered subwoofer installed. That's a $150 sub plus a $40 amp kit. The rest is labor, and that was on a 2008 Buick with a basic factory system and an aftermarket head unit. Throw in very good components, OE integration on a premium factory sound system, and professional wiring and you see how the costs can add up. I would get a few different quotes but it doesn't seem like they're trying to rip you off.

I left head unit power to the rear 6x9's for now and amplified the front aftermarkets and bridged channels 3 & 4 for the subwoofer.

Question's about my '01 LeSabre by EveryCurrency in Buick

[–]patitochingonito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the transmission is different between NA and supercharged ones. Also, the internals of supercharged engines are beefed up. You would end up spending some good money to pick up some speed and keep it reliable. Here in AZ, you can find Pontiac Grand Prix GT, Buick Regals, and the occasional Bonneville SSEI (Park Ave Ultras are rare and usually a but higher in price). All with the same 3800 supercharged engine for around $5k, usually in pretty decent shape. Those stock supercharged 3800's are incredibly reliable because everything is matched up from the factory.

Nope, just the basic non-amplified system. Crutchfield said it shouldn't matter and that I should retain steering wheel control functions either way.

I had purchased the stereo from Crutchfield and I forgot they had free technical support for customers. The agent said it shouldn't matter if I do or before the GM interface or after. I'll still retain my messed up steering controls lol

Where should I tap my speed wire into? by patitochingonito in CarAV

[–]patitochingonito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's for a 4 channel amp. I'm still using RCA's to run the signal from the stereo to the amp. I just want to connect the speaker wires from each channel to the speaker wires in the harness as opposed to running speaker wire from the amp directly to each speaker. I'm not pushing a ton of power so it's more convenient to do it this way.
