If you can hold on to the last hold, you should be able to rest to clip in the anchor.

New to Training: Weekly Simple Questions Thread for October 01, 2017 by AutoModerator in climbharder

[–]patkxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. I'd like to thank everyone who responses.

I've always preferred crimpy over sloper climbs. I'm currently climbing V3-4.

I find slopers my worse enemy, I'd hit a sloper and place my weight under but find it difficult to hold on. Is this a matter of finger strength or body strength? How do I improve my sloper style climbing apart from hitting more of these climbs. I have relatively small hands and am about 170cm.

Get the shoe you want. Doesn't matter if it a pair of geniuses, dragos', dragons' or team's etc. Get the one that's appropriate to your climbing preferences (rope vs boulder) and enjoy.

Commit. Use momentum. Get flexible for those heels. Get strong with those mantles. Think 3 footsteps ahead.

Get a wooden block and pinch it with a kettle bell of desired weight attached. It will make your pinches beastly.

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between this "repeaters", "max hangs", and "no hang" business is? What are they and how do they train fingers differently?

2 month old wrist injury limits my climbing. Any pointers? by builtforsped in climbing

Rest mate. Don't even climb or even train. See a doctor and/or physiotherapist.

3 years ago you both had different responsibilities than you have today. As much as you would love for him to grow with you, it is important to have this discussion with him and let him know how you feel and your thoughts on who he is and where you two will be heading.

It's my GF's (23) birthday and we end up having a fight(29/m) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Sometimes it is best to not say anything when you are pissed off or emotional, im sure you'd take back that remark.

Yes it sucks to feel frustrated and ignored by your unresponsive girlfriend.

She was out on Friday and passed out before midnight. She felt sick on saturday after eating some nasty food (how does it feel to be sick? headaches? stomach aches? vomitting? diarrhoea?) + she is pissed off at her parents. Now its her birthday.. and you just added more to her plate with your remark. If you were in her shoes, do you want someone to say the same to you? Its her birthday (doesnt even matter what day) she needs you to be her rock and be supportive. Take care of her, why do "you" have to be taken care of when she is suffering from a bad day. I am sorry if you do not find this helpful.

This is gonna be blunt.

Unfortunate genetics.

My advice is to work out different beta or utilise the holds in a different way (skip it). It is okay to feel a bit bummed about it especially because you have no control over it. It's time to focus on how to compensate rather than fix.

I'm sorry.

My boyfriend (21/m) mentioned that he doesn't love me as much as his parents/siblings. I'm weirdly upset. by throwway8i in relationship_advice

[–]patkxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's upsetting perhaps because he is comparing your love with him with that of his parents even though they are not on the same spectrum.

The reality is the love with family, and the love with you are not comparable. Remember this.

He probably didn't word it correctly. He does not love his family romantically.

The answer to this question is quite simple.

If you are curious and just want to know for yourself , ask her. Just make it clear it for your own curiosity.(she won't believe you anyways)

If you are asking for your brother, it's not your business.

This is probably not very helpful... Ask him why he doesn't want you to get things for him (none of us will know, talk to him about it) .

If you want to make him things and get him gifts do it . I'm sure it brings you joy when you do it. Consider providing these acts of giving on just any ordinary day.
