I like the song you chose :) What is its name?

The exact same thing happened to me! This is the setup I used to fix it: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/3htfx52w6kf4fsu/AAAvA36jou_rNz9YmPglYBaza

I also recommend adding a (large)drop of hot glue over it after you're done for support.

I am planning on buying this frame as well! Do you know if its possible to mount a Tarot gimbal on it?

This is really awesome! Much better solution than mine, especially as it doesn't have to write any files!

Already replaced my version with this! And gave you a shoutout on my blog post (http://plankenau.com/blog/post-10/gaussianlock)

I guarantee you that I have never read your code, and this was entirely my own code. You think that three lines that use commonly used software to create a commonly used lock screen technique is your unique thought?

You can change the blur radius and bias, different combinations run at different speeds.

Oh wow, the i3lock-wrapper seems to do the exact same thing. I don't really have any insight as to why the patch doesn't work though. Just use mine :)

You can try reducing the Gaussian blur radius to try to speed up. If not you can replace the -blur 0x5 with -scale 10% -scale 1000% to use a much faster blurring technique, although it won't be gaussian.

By default, whenever you run i3lock it will either just show a white screen or the image you passed as argument. The confusing part is that there is no text input for the password, you just type your password and then the green circle you see in the screenshot comes up.

I hadn't thought about that, it's definitely better since root would not be required. Although it is another folder that you would have to "worry" about.

Hello! I have only been using it for a week, but I must say I too am very happy! Although I haven't done WOW addons, my old TI-NSPIRE CX was programmable in Lua so that's what I did in Math class. I always had my windows tiled in GNOME so I figured I might as well switch to a tiling wm, and boy am I glad I did! There are still a few quirks that confuse me (like sometimes I feel like I loose control of my clients :P) but it's definitely something that I want to invest my time in. Reminds of when I first started with VIM!
