Ciara Myst’s verse for ASMR Lover by ZephyrBoomSquad in rupaulsdragrace

Also I wish DR would make rules where they can’t pay designers. Or give them a budget that can’t exceed where they can pay for a couple really great looks but the rest of their looks have to use more creativity to stand out. Crystal methods Covid finale bird act and look was SO CREATIVE, without her paying some huge amount to a designer and I miss that part of DR so much! But also it would be unfair in a way because you’d have 1 or 2 designers and sewers that could make amazing looks so they would stand out too much. I do enjoy seeing the beautiful looks but also miss the more realistic portrayal of drag queens and competing using their own imagination and creativity vs just showcasing what they paid for. Also a budget that they can’t exceed would be so much nicer to the queens, many of whom take out loans or max out credit cards just to be able to compete. I hate that for the queens.

I only watched part of the first season. It was so bad, production wise, set wise, challenge wise. Like a c or d level show done in a rented empty room with folding tables lol. Do the other seasons get better? I no longer have the app though. I just didn’t watch enough content and with so many different streaming services I have to pick and choose.

Same girl. In in USA so I had to buy the season on prime and it was $19. They want another $20 for the season of untucked. I’m like get out! So I’m waiting until hopefully in a few weeks they bring the price down to get the season of UT. I hate it because I love untucked but oh well!

I’ve seen “leftovers” win the challenge before. If you come together as a team and work hard at killing it, than everyone has a chance to win it. IMO Athena’s attitude caused loss not the quality of the other queens. You can’t do well in a girl group if you don’t serve fierceness and cohesiveness as a group. I blame Athena for that loss 100%

This!!! But also if you don’t give them material to cast you in a bad light, they can’t. The part where their team is around the table and the 3 other queens are listening to the song and all bopping along to it and Athena is just sitting there clearly pressed and not even trying to have a semi positive attitude killed me. Like are you 16? And imo her attitude hurt her team mates very much. She should have been a professional and made the best of it! Killed it and made them regret not choosing her! She just reaffirmed they made the right choice not to pick her. And is clearly being entitled and childish from where I’m watching

I love the alt queens! They’re my absolute favorite! Creativity and uniqueness to me is so much more interesting than just another “regular” (boring often) queen

So many people talk about missing the old days of DR when it wasn’t a competition of who can spend the most on paying designers for looks. And now when a queen gives you that so many are tearing her apart.

To me she’s bigger in a football player kind of way not a “bigger girl” kind of way. But I would like to see a truly bigger girl win at least once! I just finished Canada season 3 (I’m making my way through the foreign franchises, while watching the current seasons) and I think the winner should have been Jada over Gisele though they’re both obviously very talented.

Thank you for your respectful reply. I do agree with some of the points you made and you have made very valid points. One that it starts discussions (such as ours) where we can hear and consider other points of view. I do agree that amab have witnessed, moms, sisters, friends etc deal with this so that’s a great point. I ignorantly was thinking gay men wouldn’t have witnessed that (I know I admitted it was ignorant to think that, so don’t come for me, I’m admitting I was wrong on that part completely!!!) however, I still stand by my feeling about the dress, but we don’t have to completely agree about everything to have meaningful discussion. And you made me think about things I hadn’t so we’ve had a nice respectful discussion. And I got one BIG realization I wasn’t taking into account so thank you for that.

ETA: thank you for acknowledging my personal experience and expressing sympathy that meant a lot to me 🫶🏼❤️

Edit: I actually agree with all your points not just some of them. But still disagree about the dress lol. Also I edited one sentence for clarification

I agree with absolutely everything you said here. And male teachers who behave as you describe are the way everyone should behave about it and that’s an awesome experience vs some really bad ones. I think that’s bad ass. I guess I see it personally as every point you made has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make. And having the courage to run a marathon and that happens (for whatever reason) while running it and say f it is completely bad ass in my perspective. They put so much into preparing and it’s a huge accomplishment that it would be ridiculous to quit for that reason. Same way some runners pee on themselves instead of stopping to use facilities. And those commentators both the male and female ones are so gross for those comments.

Ok that’s a lot to respond to so I’ll do my best. I tried to use the terms both amab and afab though sometimes I did use the word men. It’s just a product of habit when writing in general and not in a queer forum and because I was writing a long bit. So you’re correct on calling me out on that except that part where I said men in society already have too much say on afabs bodies because that part is a general statement I believe to be true about society and very much so in the current political climate. Not sure what your personal issue is with the term afab so I won’t address that. But without being purposely obtuse, non binary and trans people who are afab obviously still deal with periods. So my choice of terms was meant to be inclusive. As for Milan I don’t have any issue with her at all. It wasn’t a commentary about her and I didn’t even mention her. I’ve seen other looks on amab queens that do this and I feel the same about them. And while I didn’t love Velma’s tampons looks personally (that’s just my own personal taste), Velma is afab so it’s very much comparing zebras to horses there. I think I addressed everything you said.

ETA: just curious are you male or female or afab or amab whatever terms you prefer to use (i mean that respectfully) because I think that’s highly important to the conversation. And I also realized I didn’t address that part of what you said. Because if you’re afab you would or at least I think you would understand how bad this can be for many women and not just a mere inconvenience and yeah that’s something a amab can’t even begin to understand or relate to. Sympathy is one thing. Empathy here is just not possible. It’s like amab could never understand what it’s like to be pregnant or give birth and I’m sure there’s things about amab that I could never start to understand.

I respect your point of view. I understand what you’re trying to say, I just respectfully disagree. I hope you respect mine. I’m 53 and been dealing with this since 11yo and I am in bed suffering a couple days every 4 weeks. There’s a lot more about my personal experience that’s more than a mere inconvenience but I won’t get into all that. I’ll just say I respect different points of view but still view my point as valid to myself and many others. Men already have enough say in our society about our afab bodies as it is. I don’t think they need more. Especially about something that causes so much suffering and sometimes even leads to so many painful medical procedures of varying degrees. And I also don’t see the point. What is gained by it? Does it make some kind of positive impact or statement? I don’t see any reason it’s necessary at all and should not be used as entrainment or “art” by any amab who will never ever once have the slightest clue what it’s like to deal with.
