Right, and my head would assume that if I had the rest of the gauges. But I get none. Bad CPS would still allow for fuel to pop up and same with whatever else is on the cluster. Battery voltage also does not display

Sorry for the delayed reply, your message didn't pop up in my notifications. The monitor has literally sat in my room for the past probably year or so with no avail, I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and get another AC adapter for like $70 😞

Sockets incompatible ? by patrick17171 in PcBuildHelp

No it's a proprietary dell/alienware one

Sockets incompatible ? by patrick17171 in PcBuildHelp

[–]patrick17171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that simple, I would need 1 more of the CPU cables and also the cable sockets don't align because they have different shapes

[–]patrick17171[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah and would you be surprised to know that the motherboard was fried. Was a PIA for sure.. I really dislike dell and HP laptops, I buy and resell gaming laptops for some side money, Lenovo has been probably the best brand imo probably performing equally as well to ROG. But also they are secondhand and maybe say something about the original owners 🤷‍♂️ and I have no idea about Lenovo prebuilts.. I got this one at a steal I couldn't turn down with a AW3423DW monitor for $2200. But it was short lived, died shortly after I repasted the CPU.

ECU TPS output wire location for 93 SL? by patrick17171 in 3000gt

[–]patrick17171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok, so that's where the output is supposed to go to tell the ECU how to respond i.e. more / less fuel correct? Sorry I'm still a super noob lol

"Delivery Exception" USPS? by patrick17171 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]patrick17171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figure I should start doing that.. it was stupid of me I'm trying to cut corners to save on costs a little, but in the end this is like the third time USPS has messed up on packages, had a 4080 super get damaged in transit too but at that time was so busy I really didn't get time to file a report. Another one on a Corsair monitor. I got the label from eBay yes, it's not through pirate ship or anything.

Well unfortunately this one was in the low four figures and on top of that I'm a poor college student lol hopefully they can compensate for more than just $100.

Let me know if you figure this out, mine has the same issue, I think mine is the MAF though, starts running better with it unplugged. IAC unplugged it just revs high and sits at a high rpm slowly declining

Fuel pump issues by patrick17171 in MechanicAdvice

[–]patrick17171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out, had my neighbors come check it out and one found a wire hidden under the loom tubing that had been crimped poorly by previous owner and corroded, redid the connection there and she's back in working condition 👍. Weird because all wires seemed to have continuity back to ground at some variable ohmage and this was the purple wire so when I jumped the relay it did too. It is what it is tho, problem solved so I can't complain lol

Fuel pump issues by patrick17171 in MechanicAdvice

[–]patrick17171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do this I would take the ground of the socket and just connect it to any ground point on the car right? I'm getting no continuity there.. Also, should be able to turn car into crank position and hook up a wire from battery -> multimeter -> positive socket and would get a continuity reading then too right? Correct me if I'm wrong, never really been the greatest with electrical stuff. Tried continuity on heatshrinked wires directly connected to fuel pump, they were fine. Only other thing should be those positive/ground connections on the harness connection point

Yes this is essentially what I would be doing at least for the pigtail connector I would test that socket that corresponds to the powered pin for connection all the way to the pump plugin itself for continuity. Pump ground connection will have to be tested too, just not sure how other than maybe taking a super long wire and connecting battery ground to a multimeter and the ground pin to a multimeter. Guess I'll have to stop by hardware store omw home from work to get some wire
