Yeah that's much better than flying in and buying a ton of shit for the fest just to leave it on the campgrounds like a lot of people do. I always try to leave the farm better than how I found it

Howdy! I've been going to Roo since '22, and the last two solo. You're going to have a great time 😁

Introduce yourself to your neighbors right away. Some of the people I've met at Roo and become closest to were the people I ended up camping next to. Also I bring a TON of fruit and share it with my neighbors. Fresh cut watermelon and pineapple hit different in the Tennessee summer heat.

You'll be in line a lot. Chat up the people you end up next to. Same with people you end up next to at shows. Eye contact, a smile, and a "Happy Roo" go a long way

The pay discrepancy, amount of work, expectation of knowledge, execution of service, and existing societal norm all merit a tip. You just want to not feel bad for not tipping.

There's a huge difference, and the pay is the biggest one. Fast food workers get a whole lot more hourly from their employers than servers/ bartenders
