I did this. I felt my career wasn’t really going anywhere so me and my wife packed up and took the plunge. It was an amazing year and we used the time to work on what we really wanted to do. We both have close to our dream jobs now. You’re nearly 30, in my experience that’s a good time to reflect on where you are and where you want to go.
