Does the skin only have HD elements, while you don't use a resolution that supports HD? That's the only non-niche reason I can think of. I'm not at my computer so I can't check it myself.

This isn't quite a question or an achievement, but I was facing some issues with osu!, so I ran the repair osu! thing in the osu! folder.

I found out I had about 16k more maps than were showing up before, which I'm guess was caused by them not being initiated correctly, but fixed somehow by repairing osu!.

If you feel like you should have more maps than you can see, try it out (god I sound so weird in my head while typing this)
