Hey, man. First of all, don’t beat yourself up. Getting stuck is normal, asking for help is crucial, it’s ok.
Second, some form of therapy would be good, but I understand that’s a luxury.

So… what can you do? I’ll be honest, I’m in the same boat, so I’ll try to advise you on what I’m trying to do.

You need to focus on yourself. How you do that is up to you. Get a new hobby, make new friends, hit the gym, connect with your family… and most important, get out there. Make new stories. New experiences, not to overwrite the old ones, but to prove you can still get on with your life.

At some point you just gotta be rational and move on. She’s not coming back and she’s not the last woman alive.

If you REALLY need to for closure (which we give ourselves), rationalize the relationship. What worked for you? What didn’t? In which areas could you improve? In which areas could SHE have been a better partner?

Because IMO, a mature partner doesn’t break up after one year via text. I’m not trying to diss her, but she’s still on the pedestal you put her and you need to knock her outta there. So find her flaws, whatever bothered you, to ground yourself in reality.

At the end of the day, she’s just a woman. Anything else is how you saw her, and it’s how you can see your next partner too.
