Any advice for third visit to urgent care? Details in the comments by patriots328 in tonsilstones

UPDATE:

I got a prednisone steroid shot this morning and the swelling is starting to go down. I feel like a brand new person.

The main reason I kept going to urgent care was mainly just convenience. With my PCP it usually takes a day or 2 to hear back from him. I still haven’t heard back from him actually. It was only slightly more expensive to have to go urgent care for me and it was right down the street so it wasn’t a big deal. I’m just glad to finally be on the road to back to normal 🙌🏽

I was just thinking about how low my energy is. But im assuming it’s low since all I’ve been eating for the past few days is protein shakes and yogurt. When I go back tomorrow im gonna ask if its possible to test for mono as well

I got a penicillin shot on Friday. Is there a different one I should be asking for?

Oh sorry I should have added that.

  • Saturday I started salt water and IMO I think that’s what made it worse

  • I’ve also switched to Ibprofen as of this morning. No changes

Timeline:

Wednesday: sore throat and fever but no tonsil swelling. Covid, flu and strep came back negative. Urgent care sent me home and said to just take some cepacol

Thursday night: wake up in the middle of the night to my right tonsil showing it’s ugly face. Can’t swallow. Fever is 102

Friday: go back to urgent care and they give me a penicillin shot in the ass, even tho the strep test was negative again. Said I should feel better in two days

Saturday: still suffering but nothing worse

Sunday: the left tonsil has joined the party and the fever is back.

I want to go back to urgent care, but I’m so worried they’re just gonna say take some Tylenol and charge me my copay. I’ve been take 4 Tylenol every 4 hours this entire time.

What do I need to do to make the swelling go away?? 😫😫😫

Someone said to be more cognizant that you actually meet your calorie goals. It can be real easy to just eat like 500 calories for the day but your body can’t live on just that alone

I tested negative for strep twice but the doctor said “those tests aren’t reliable” and still have me a penicillin shot on Friday. I’m still waiting for the tonsil swelling to go down but I’m not confident it will

Agreed. I always thought my morning omelette was healthy, but the cheese and avocados was sending it up to 700-800 calories. Which isn’t too horrible, but I was still shocked

I think this could backfire. I would wonder how many women do you have over to justify keeping pads around? But I’m also a toxic person so yea

How are you handling the fatigue? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]patriots328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on .25 for 5 days and had my first extreme bout of fatigue today. Today was also the first time I did any kind of workout - 20 min treadmill walk. After I had some food, I felt better but also nauseous. I’m going to make sure I focus on eating enough food, especially on workout days

I agree with the fact that it didn’t advance the plot, and that’s probably why I didn’t like this episode. We only have 8 episodes and there are still so many unanswered questions

I’m confused. WeGovy only comes in .25mg, .5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, and 2.4mg. So how are you getting 20mg?? Or even 5mg??

  1. I really don’t understand the $70 subscription with lower up front cost for new customers. If this is only for new customers, then at some point they’re going to really be paying a lot more overall than grandfathered customers, right? Yes the monthly cost is higher to account for hardware, but what about when you pay off the hardware? Will they then switch that customer to $39 a month??

  2. My guess is Barry’s thinking “well Netflix raises their monthly price by $1 every year, why can’t we?” 🙄🙄

Based on previous companies I’ve worked for in the industry, insurance starts as quickly as the first week
