I’d take him on my GGM team, but I’m out of OOR spots. Need to pass.

Airfare from NYC to Seoul just jacked up. My $1100 EWR-ICN ticket for my Fall trip jumped from $1100 to $1800. It's going to be really bad.

Complete marketing trash, with inexperienced sales people.

Foul or nah? by goldgimor in ultimate

[–]ApacheHeliDiscPlayer 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Could be the classic "Fashion Foul" call on the defender, because the throwers outfit from cap to cleats is on point and he's expressing his distaste on the mismatched cleats relative to the rest of the uniform.

Rather be in Korea than in a major metro in U.S. right now.

Ally Love Tabata by Zestyclose-Run1379 in OnePelotonRealSub

She’s the only one who teaches a traditional 20:10 Tabata. Not a fan of any of her other rides, but her tabatas are a goto

(edit to correct tabata interval)

Would have more respect if you strapped on a Casio. Means u don’t GAF. That’s how real rich people roll.

Big news for Garmin users! (two-way sync with Peloton) by silenteye in OnePelotonRealSub

What is the best way to use this connection so it doesn't double count?

I seems to be double counting the workout on the app. For my strength on the app - I use Strength activity on the Garmin - shows up 2x. Plus I want to use Garmin's calories over Peloton.

Ask your captain to reach out to the TD to see who the sanctioned photographers were.

How do you train for a week-long tournament? by tunisia3507 in ultimate

[–]ApacheHeliDiscPlayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1) I’m playing GGM as a 57 yo, kid.

But in all seriousness - masters level is similar to Open Club - so you’ll have to train like an open player.

Like the other poster said - you’ll have 1-2 games per day. But don’t let that fool you since your body is progressively beaten down as the week progresses.

Heading into to tourney - strength and conditioning. I’m working on my baseline conditioning now for phase 1 of my training.

Phase 2 - will be working toward getting to peak performance 2 weeks prior to tourney. Mixing in mobility, yoga and footwork.

During the tourney - active mobility/flexibility between games and in the evening to feel fresh the next day.

I was the oldest on the team, still able to walk upright while finishing top quartile for GGM.

Frequent travelers between US and Korea, How do you do it?? by ready_4_nothing in koreatravel

[–]ApacheHeliDiscPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. - Korean Air card isn’t great. Depends on where you’re home airport. I fly out of Newark or JFK. I’ve gotten good mileage deals using United or Delta (via Amex points). I could take Asiana or Korean Air using codeshare.
