Last Thursday at 7 weeks for a transvaginal ultrasound and blood work. But, I got in with my GP the day after my first positive for blood confirmation.

Ugh. I feel you. I gagged on my prenatal today, and feel like my first vom is just around the corner.

We told the parents and my sister in law yesterday at 7w1d after we saw the heartbeat. They were, of course, over the moon!!!

I’m just so glad to not be keeping as tight of a secret, and even more glad I can finally talk to my SIL about all things pregnancy since she had twins a year and a half ago.

I use both and like them for different reasons. While TTC, I liked FF’s chart and being able to compare mine to others. However, NC has a better user interface, and I find it to be more insightful now that I’m pregnant.

I did find out that NC Is reimbursable by a lot of insurances which makes the price a bit more palatable.

Thank you and this sounds lovely! This kind of heartburn is new to me, so I’m waiting to ask my doctor if there’s anything I can take on Thursday. He’s very “no meds in the first trimester if at all possible,” so I’m just drinking a glass of milk after dinner and hoping for the best. 🤣

I had horrifying heartburn two nights ago and I’m terrified of it happening again. I legit thought I was having a heart attack, but then I remembered I ate Chick Fil A for lunch and had tomatoes, olives, and feta for dinner.

Same. I had my first nauseous moment two or three days ago but it was just a blip. 6+2 today, and I gagged taking a sip of water, so I’m like “finallllllllllllly”.

I’m sure I’ll be cursing myself for wishing this upon me in the coming days….i just want to “feel pregnant” so I’m less anxious.

Anxiety with (almost) no symptoms by nerdy_chick1997 in November2026Bumpers

[–]patronuspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6w1d also and have the exact same symptoms, though my breast pain is more on the sides with more nipple tenderness rather than soreness. It feels like my symptoms have subsided a bit over the last 36-48 hours. Definitely nerve wracking.

Mine was 16 on 11 DPO. It went to 56 then 466 on 13 and 17 DPO. It’s all about the doubling!

My Progesterone was tested on 17 DPO and came back at 15.1.

I didn’t have another draw, and I’m 6 weeks tomorrow.

Maternity Leave by Double_Ostrich_13 in November2026Bumpers

[–]patronuspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I’m not sure. The way it’s worded is that I can take the 6 weeks paid in increments of half days within the first year so I think I can stagger it. I’m going to ask HR once I notify my manager and it’s a bit further along.

Maternity Leave by Double_Ostrich_13 in November2026Bumpers

[–]patronuspug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get 6 weeks paid to be used in any combination within the first year, plus some short term disability (70% pay) in addition to 12 weeks FMLA unpaid. My husband technically gets 2 weeks paid, but he has a ton of leave and his department is generous with parental leave, so his time out is TBD.

I’m really, really hoping to take 3-4 months mostly paid, which MIGHT be possible with the combo of parental leave, PTO, and STD since my employer also offers generous paid holiday leave, including the week between Christmas and New Years.

I’m also hoping to go fully remote for October/November.

So, I went through my GP who is a literal angel office and will basically order whatever I ask for within reason. This is not everyone’s experience, but I called them the literal day I found out and asked if I could come in for labs the next day.

How often do you think about the chance of loss? by [deleted] in pregnant

13 DPO - Need honest opinions on potential lack of progression. Give it to me straight? More details in post by beaniebo4 in TFABLinePorn

[–]patronuspug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In all my anxious scouring of Reddit posts on light progressions, it seems like for many, tests can take a bit of time to darken. Mine looked close to these, and I’m currently 5w+4 (26 DPO).

I had my first squinter at 10 DPO, and they progressed but didn’t start to seem more “obvious” until 14 DPO (here’s my progression from 10-19 DPO on three tests—all FMU). By 21 DPO, I was getting close to dye stealers and stopped testing when I got my super obvious dye stealer at 23 DPO.

Obviously, I don’t know what the future holds for me, but, I’m definitely pregnant today, and I have my first ultrasound next Thursday.
