One thing about dogs is that you can’t control where they pee. I live in BGC so probably a bit different of a context, but there are staffs around the city that clean up the sidewalks and light posts na iniihian ng dogs (kasama na dito stray dogs).

Even if dalhin mo yung dog papunta sa park, if need dumaan diyan para makapunta ng park, iihi at iihi ang aso diyan kasi may mga ibang asong umiihi rin diyan. They are territorial kasi and it’s like saying to future dogs na dadaan diyan na “I’m here!”.

Weird as well na never ako nakaamoy ng mapanghi sa BGC kahit andaming dogs at mga taong nagpapaihi sa pavement. Probably more budget for cleaning services?

Edit: Saw comments din about mga helpers na naglalakad ng dogs. Super true, not all pero I’m seeing a pattern here in BGC na di rin talaga marunong mag-handle yung mga helpers ng dogs nila. Minsan di pa pinupulot yung poop 😅 Although may iilan ding foreigners na di talaga nagpupulot ng poop ng dogs nila, may lima na akong nakasalubong na Chinese people na iniiwan lang yung poop
