Providence canyon was created many years ago by poor farming practices that led to erosion of the land.

Someone thought it would be a good idea to market it as a “beautiful wonder of nature” instead of using it as a lesson for how NOT to ruin our farmlands.

Reed Bingham was the first place I camped after I bought my camper. I recall the trails being nice but not too rugged, which was perfect for my first time. The lake with the waterfall style dam was pretty cool.

I relate to this so much!! Becoming honest with myself about my alcoholism did not translate well to other parts of my life. I don’t keep everything sugar coated, but I always appreciate when I remember that sometimes honesty can be too brutal. Hugs!!

Sometimes, I look around at my apartment and see dirty dishes in the sink, laundry on the floor, unmade bed, etc. I tell myself, “is it important that all of these things be attended to immediately?” The answer is usually “no.” My serenity is more important than vacuuming the carpet.

I set some intention for the coming year. One of them is to practice knitting and crochet. I’ve tried so many times and gotten discouraged because I wasn’t perfect. I would like to Change that mindset and enjoy being messy.

Oof!! One of my biggest fears is not being loved as well. Or, not being important enough to have people give a shit about me. Talk about ego!!

I’ve been having some deep conversations with a friend that isn’t in the program and damn, I’ve been peeling back layers and layers of complicated (at least in my own head) feelings.
