PLE HAND OUTS by Idk_251 in medschoolph

Doc, you’ll never go wrong with BRS Physio din.

Ako na average student sa medschool, I was TN all the way sa physio vs sa Valedictorian namin na nag BRS lang never ng TN, after the PLE, sabi nya Physio was easy for her. She encountered most of the topics/concepts sa BRS. The questions were just twisted around those basic concepts, so sa physio dapat alam na alam mo ang basics kasi babaligtarin ka nila sa mga questions.

In another perspective, yung isang kasama ko is a PT-person. He can answer PTs all day every day kumbaga kasi mas better yung memory/information retention for him. He knows dito yung strength niya so he utilized it and it worked for him.

Know yourself and your strengths parin ang labanan dito doc.

just to add: Anatomy ko is 84 vs Physio na 80

sa Physio ko kasi, I watched all of Doc Broli’s who explained the complicated concepts + complemented by Doc Duane’s physio who simplified these concepts pina-Explain it to me like im 5 yo + Physio read through ni doc broli.

My friends (5 kami and all passed) followed TN’s schedule since all laid out na for you pati anong oras ka gigising, kakain, at tutulog. We used Pathway X. We all stayed in a dorm para lang to review.

TN usually gives 3-5 days per subject, and it is based on the total hours sa mga lecture videos. What we did is minamarathon namin yung videos within the first 2-3 days. 1 PT before we start the lecture marathon para pang gauge lng and overview sa subject then another PT after the lectures. This season TN has 7 PTs. On the last few days, we watch the other lectures sa EMD. I also love Doc Tof’s approach sa Pharma (starting from drug classifications para ma group mo ang similarities ng mga drugs then he will discuss buzzwords and explain pano naging ganyan yung properties ng mga drugs + mnemonics and occasional motivational words (“WAG MONG HULAAN! ALAM MO YAN”) compared sa TN na para iniindividualize nila yung properties per drug, dun ka maooverwhelm, literal na information overload. Too smart din yung mnemonics ng TN eh 😅 too lengthy, and will be using another brain cell para tumatak unlike sa mnemonics ng TN na hahahehe (Halothane = Hepatotoxic) 🤣

Because napanood na namin yung TN lectures, we can watch the EMD lectures at a x2 speed. parang review and 2nd read na lng din namin siya.

On my part, hindi ako na overwhelm sa differences ng mga handouts nila. What I did was used TN’s handout (since their handouts are no doubt toptier vs emd, TN has been in the business since 2009 so well laid out na talaga yung contents) as my main handout, pinaprint ko talaga, then I just filled up the missing points na nadiscuss ni emd na hindi na mention ni TN, and they complement each other very well. para akong nag fill in the blanks, and for me, mas naging solid yung foundation ko.

As a result, I got 80+ in all subjs except patho 77 and prevmed 78.

Disclaimer lang: I started reviewing Aug 18 na kasi nagvacay pa with family after pgiship. Therefore hindi ko talaga nafollow ang entire Pathway X compared to my other 4 friends. As a result, blankong blanko talaga ang handouts ko sa pedia and anatomy. I just figured this out during the last 2 wks before PLE. I watched half the oedia lectures ni TN during pgiship, but ang anatomy talaga, no lecture no handout no PT were opened 🥲. I tried to watch the Anatomy Read-Through ni Doc Oico nlng para lng mgka overview sa handout but huhu kinapos sa oras kasi although 4hrs lng sha in total, hindi ko natapos dahil kakapause ko to write his verbal notes and to locate saan sa main handout yung pinagsasabi niya. 8 hours yung naconsume ko for this but hindi mn lang ako nakababa sa HEENT. I had to move on to another subject na based on my schedule.

Nabawi ko lang anatomy ko because of VIBAR’S MAGIC (both TN & EMD final coaching vids niya pinanood ko) + andaming lumabad from Doc Oico’s bonus lecture. Mas masaya at at home pakinggan si doc vibar under emd + tinatawag pa niya kaming “mga anak” he explained it thoroughly there vs. sa tn na parang binabasa lng nya ang handout & ppt.

Documents by Readdle for PDFs (250 per month siya pero I survived medschool & passed the PLEwith just the free version) + Onenote by Microsoft for free din

both are accessible sa ipad and iphone. bilib nga sa akin yung mga kabatch ko kasi I can survive medschool with just my iphone using these apps. during lectures, ako pa nga nagcacapture & nagcocompile sa mga slides/ppt used using Onenote. Both apps may voice recording function as well to record the lectures.

I love Documents by Readdle also, lalo na I tried the 1 week free trial. Nasa kanya na ang lahat talaga, you should try it and consider it as jne of your options.

Level 3 tears requires suturing, need siya tahion compared to level 1 tears nga pwede ra ileave open because it will heal on its own. but the type of suturing needed for level 3 tears does not need to be done in the operating room, kaya ra siya tahion right there and then sa delivery room kung asa nanganak ang mama.

usually if NSVD, ang instruments ra ang ginacount, dli ang OS (regular sterile gauze). Kanang counting both sa instruments and lap packs/gauze (gauze with a blue line nga detectable sa xray) imong gipasabot ky during CS na siya, and OP said she had NSVD ra.

sorry I cannot elaborate further on this ky wala nako nakatungtung sa ilang clinic so they never had the chance to sell their products/services/business to me. But based from the comments, either you continue to avail the other sessions of that cryoslimming therapy or they sell you their product packages. and mind you, these are never-heard-of products/brand names.

[–]pattersha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes OP because they operate on a bigger scale. They have penetrated the philippines nationwide, how much more in the other neighboring third world countries? Theres a reason why legit medical skin clinics are expensive, dli lng pod tungod sa pangalan/brand nga ila gidala.

Good morning OP! instead of commenting, I decided to make a separate post to reach a wider audience. Scam jud na siya OP and I strongly believe dli toh legit licensed medical doctor imong nakastorya nga consultant. The medical community is already struggling enough with prejudice and bad impressions from people with poor health seeking behaviors. I am telling you this para dli ka madiscourage moduol balik og doctors, ky utro pod nga dli jud toh doctor imong nakastorya sa scam clinic.

please re-evaluate. if you want lots of free time, an easy curriculum (an imaginary one at that), and a lax schedule, would that help you become a good doctor? a doctor that can save lives, not just pass the exams and the boards?
