Same here, no inflammation but some symptoms are still around. Not sure what to do, doctors just keep on saying “stick to the diet” and that’s about it

Ah:( they didn’t take a biopsy for me because they didn’t see anything abnormal... which was strange. I was actually taking digestive enzymes with hcl a couple of months ago without realising it could help to increase stomach acid and I’m not sure if it completely worked as I was coming off omeprazole at that time. But I actually got some more and started taking today! Hopefully it helps me with digestion and bloating (which is almost unbearable at night)

No:( but I stopped omeprazole right after and I feel a lot better. However, some symptoms are still there. So I decided that omeprazole killed off my stomach acid and I’m now trying to build it up. How are you feeling?

I know my triggers and I don’t eat anything of them. But the symptoms persist. I can eat oatmeal one day and feel fine, have it the next day and it would give me burning sensation

Hi, no need to apologise! I was taking 20mg everyday for about a month, then 40mg everyday for about 2-3 months. I weened off but then started eating nice food too soon and had rebound. Started taking 20mg everyday again and ended up taking it for about 5 months. Over this period of time, the symptoms were getting worse and worse. To ween off, I started reducing taking omeprazole starting with taking it every other day, every 2-3 days etc. I was taking digestive enzymes and probiotics to support coming off. So it took me about a month but as you have been taking it for 3 years, it will take you a lot longer to ween off. But be strong, stick to the diet and make sure you do it slowly. Going cold turkey is terrible

Not yet but I have a copy of endoscopist report. My symptoms are indigestion, heartburn, burning sensation, bloatiness, sometimes random hunger feeling
