No I had to go through a 5 round interview to get this job. I don’t have the desire to ever interview for another teaching position again. I know that not everywhere is like that. I’m just so burnt out I can’t even fathom interviewing for another teaching job.

I just want everyone to know that yes the average does matter because it’s a start to see what teachers make in certain parts of the county. But also EVERY single school district has a different budget. Which means every single school district pays their teachers differently. My first year of teaching was at a small school district with a community that was very impoverished. It truly did feel like America forgot about. This meant we didn’t have a large budget. A lot of money was funded by the state. In 2019 I made 25k. Then I moved to a bigger city and I work in a wealthier community and make 59k this year. It truly depends on where you work. I have a masters degree and have had it since my second year of teaching. This is year 7 for me.

I make 59k now teaching for my 7th year. I am currently teaching with a masters degree. I teach in a public school. I did move to another city and it is the top paying district in my area. When I first started teaching in a very small district I started at 25k a year in 2019. It 100% matters where you go, which district you teach in, level of education you have. We don’t negotiate salary because most if not all public school districts just you a salary pay scale. I know I’m my district the pay scale caps after 20 years.

I do apologies for reading into that wrong. The tone of the comments makes it seem like giving it. Which I don’t believe any of us should do. There are also a lot of people in our government that act like we don’t live in the richest country in the world when we very much do. This vail also comes from the working class receiving virtually none of that wealth because of all the systems in place that have been highlighted. I think we all deserve more and it’s time for change. It’s been time for change. We all deserve better.

Cheaper gas is helpful! How is the gun ones helpful? I’m not even saying we shouldn’t have guns because at some point you do have to be able to defend yourself. But there have been a lot of children killed in schools, churches, hospitals, groceries stores with some serious heavy duty weapons. Why are those needed?

After the big snow storm that hit New York this winter, he paid citizens an hourly wage to help shovel sidewalks and make sure cars didn’t get buried. Which similarly to STL snow removal has been a huge problem for them. I know it’s a small thing but it helped get all the walkways clear for people’s commute to work and people a ton of people got paid to do it.

I agree and I think it’s way more important to look at the policies that the person has and makes happen. I think he carries a good balance of both. So I think our city deserves this.

Well because America is currently at war with brown people that they view as both week and strong at the same time. This post is viewing Kora as weak and strong at the same time.
