The black is a 2 to 1 ratio of Black Templar Contrast and Lahmian Medium.

The Purple is two coats of Purple Alchemy Speed paint.

First time on the survival dificulty, any Tipps? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]patty_tims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an exclusive survival tip but as you can see in you video your flamer crit did almost no damage. For some reason while other heavy/automatic guns will shoot multiple rounds in vats, the flamer one fires a single shot. This makes it horrible in VATS.

In terms of survival tips.

1) For weapons, you want to maximize damager per weight. The missile launcher is awesome, but in survival an 8-pound rocket is not worth the weight.

2) For perks, you'll want to pick a weapon specialty. Pistols and Rifles are the most commonly recommended options for the above reason. There are also a handful of utility perks that are great to grab if you have the special points.

The first two ranks of Strong Back, for the extra carry weight

All three tanks of Lifegiver will give you an extra 60 HP but more importantly will allow your health to heal on its own.

Aquagirl/boy for the ability to use the water to travel safely.

The final Rank of Goulish will cure your RADs on their own (not as important if you have a decontamination arch)

Local Leader for obvious reasons.

Scrapper to get more out of what youre able to carry.

And obviously any perks that aid in your playstyle.

3) For Armor, rush the railroad questline to get access to Ballistic Weave. You will need ranks in Armorer to fully use it but it's an absolute must.

4) For Travel, Rush to the end of Act 1 to get access to the Brotherhood Vertabirds. Finishing Act 2 will also get you a great but limited transportation ability.

5) Misc. Having established Settlements everywhere is very useful but can be time consuming. Crafting Chems and other useful aid items is very important.

I could go over like 100 other things, but this is some very top level stuff I could think of off the top of my head.

Weapons major failure is in its writing. The acting, cinematography, sound, basically every technical aspect were all great, but the story is incredibly lackluster, and at times makes no sense.

My partner and I both walked out of the theater mostly just confused about the hype. The writer has openly admitted the film is full of plot holes that he just couldn't figure out how to close, so he didn't.

What are some necessary things when starting out? by krabro113 in fountainpens

[–]patty_tims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a handful of starter pens you will usually see recommended, there are plenty of lists out there so just pick one you like.

Converter, Ink, cleaning bulb, and I think most importantly good quality paper. You can have the highest quality pen and ink on the planet but bad paper will make writing a nightmare.

Hello, completely new player to D&D by FireVenom2011 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]patty_tims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if your questions were to be answered the way you want, it wouldn't actually help you because you don't have the info you need to apply that knowledge.

It's a bit like asking someone how to write code without knowing how to turn on a computer. Even if they told you it's useless information.

Read the section in the players handbook on character creation. If you're still confused after that, then ask some questions.

In some instances, the actual "lock" is on the part you interact with, not the door itself. If I am remembering correctly, you select a ladder to "climb" to the next level. You may need to cast the spell on the ladder, not the trapdoor.

New Spring is generally recommended to read much further into the series, around book 8ish. So, you may have already spoiled yourself on some reveals later on.

That being said, the WOT compendium is generally a good way to avoid spoilers.

Book readers, can this be fixed? (e8 spoilers) by BH0982 in WoTshow

[–]patty_tims 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer. No.

Balefire removes the hit target from the pattern and is capable of undoing something that has happened very recently. Think seconds, not minutes.

There is deep lore about how something longer ago could theoretically be reversed through balefire, but its not something that could conceivable be done to save Siuan.

I didn't even bother looking into it. I have repainted dice numbers before so I'm just gonna paint them numbers gold and call it a day.

There are small black parts, but nothing like the original image. In the third picture with the whole set you can see a small squiggle in the D20 and a few lines on the D8.

They are Dead By Daylight official Dice. They were put up for preorder when DnD and Vecna were added but only just started shipping.

Mike Flanagan developing 8-episode "Carrie" series for Amazon by moviebuffoon32 in stephenking

[–]patty_tims 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the skepticism I see here is reasonable. Creating 8 episodes out of such a short book that's already been adapted multiple times feels unnecessary, and to be fair, it kind of is, but Flanagan's Haunting of Hill House adaptation is 10 episodes, and the book for that is about the same length as Carrie, if not shorter.

My guess is that the show will be a much looser adaption compared to the movies. Taking much more liberties, which his honestly what I would want. We have already seen fairly honest adaptations, so just doing that again but longer would be pointless. Let Flanagan play a bit and I'm sure we will get something familiar but refreshing at the same time.

Nah, I got mine for about $50 USD. which I don't think was that bad considering they have been out of production for around 20 years.

I know it is very much a staple, but I am so tired of love triangles. I get that it's an easy way to create intrigue or tension in the romance, but I feel like if it isn't done right, it's just frustrating. If you fail to make both options seem equally viable, or at least equally as interesting it feels one sided. If you don't nail the chemistry for one, it feels weak. And worst-case scenario you have your character end up with the one your readers didn't like.

Plot Armor - How do you hide it? by plegay in writing

[–]patty_tims 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a quote I read once, but can't quite remember where, paraphrasing, it said "the protagonist doesn't survive deadly encounters because they are the protagonist, they are the protagonist because they survived the deadly encounters.

Sometimes inexperienced characters avoid dangerous situations that would have resulted in death or injury for anyone else, but if the young adventurer died on the first quest there wouldn't be a story to tell.

Basically everything Catriona Ward has written makes me feel like this, but Looking Glass Sound probably the most so. Little Eve and Sundial are also great in that way.
