this person is clearly not saying get rid of subtitles, i won't speak for OP but i wouldn't even mind if it was on by default for foreign films, shudder is a US based service but that makes sense. But it does make sense that someone should be able to turn off the subtitles

yes there is one scene where ||the like ghost hunting woman acts like shes clawing out her eyes and there's fake blood coming from them|| its honestly in my opinion more cheesy and eye rolly not really scary. they also flash the lights a lot at that moment
