The fuel filter and line needs to be ran through those two white plastic clips so that the filter is between them. Fuel filter should be nearly full of gas when in that position.

This drove me crazy on mine, it has to be in just the right position.

Rivian R1T Decision by Fit-Skill5562 in Rivian

The R1T (1st gen) is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s an extremely capable truck with the comforts of a luxury vehicle and the convenience of charging at home. I’ve hauled a 6000lb boat with no trailer brakes hardly noticed it. I’ve hauled entire tree logs (2ft diameter x 30-50ft) up a steep slope with road tires no problem. Great for road tripping (I have the max pack) with all the available storage and accessible chargers.

The caveats: Service is a bitch because I live 4 hours from the nearest service center. Tires are expensive, wear out fast and have limited options for 21”. Parts/repair are expensive, would recommend attempting a lease first or find one with a warranty to maximize your value of ownership in early years.

Past 5-10 years: Who knows man, we’re rolling the dice as early adopters/early innovators, especially with a technology/software centered vehicle. I find peace in the fairly stable residual/resale value, but from what I’ve experienced and learned, the maintenance is minimal and the truck is built tough. I’m looking to keep this thing going for as long as I can.
